My Mother, My Friend & Polka Dot Parade #1 - Day 5

6

Hello everyone...Happy Valentine's Day! We have made it to day 5 of the Papertrey Ink countdown posts which means that all of the new products will be available starting tomorrow night, the 15th, at 10PM. I have one last post for you...keeping it short and sweet for today! Before we jump in let me give you a quick recap on both of my new sets...

My Mother, My friend:

  • features 24 images - 1 large frame, 3 sentiment frames, 11 sentiments, 5 flowers, 3 background strips
  • will retail for $24
  • will be available for purchase starting February 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
  • has coordinating dies

Polka Dot Parade #1:

  • features 10 images - 1 bunny, 2 flowers, 1 bunny tail, 6 mix & match sentiments including a large polka dot 'BUNNY'
  • will retail for $5
  • will be available for purchase starting February 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
  • has coordinating dies

1

To end the countdown I decided to create a set of Easter tags using the Polka Dot Parade #1 set.  I chose a variety of different colors to work with today and started by die cutting and stamping all of my bunnies.

8

I created 8 tags total and just mixed my colors around and had fun with the images. I used the Tag Sale #1 die and stamped the bottoms of each tag using the bitty floral background image in My Mother, My Friend. Next, I stamped a few flowers on each side of the tags and adhered my bunnies to the center.

9

And here are the rest of them all assembled and looking cute!

5

That completes all of my projects for this countdown...I hope you've enjoyed! And here are the rest of the ladies with more to share...

  • Maile Belles
  • Heather Nichols

Thanks for popping in...have a wonderful day!

Peace, Love & Joy + Heart-2-Heart #8 - Day 5

Plj_day5_1

Welcome to the final day of the September Papertrey Ink countdown. These two new sets, Peace, Love & Joy and Heart-2-Heart #8 will be available September 15th at 10PM on the Papertrey Ink website. Here is a recap of both of these sets...

Heart-2-Heart #8
  • features 10 images - 1 tree tunk, 3 tree tops, 4 sentiments, 1 heart, an exclamation point
  • will retail for $5
  • will be available for purchase starting September 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
  • has a coordinating die
Peace, Love & Joy
  • features 9 images - 3 decorative words, 3 companion sentiments, an & and ! and a small decorative image
  • will retail for $5
  • will be available for purchase starting September 15th on the Papertrey Ink website

H2h8_day5_2

Up first for today is this card using Heart-2-Heart #8. I started with a Vintage Cream base and then stamped my tree trunks in Spring Moss ink. I die cut 3 trees, using the coordinating Heart-2-Heart #8 die, in Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy and Aqua Mist. I cut the trunks off the bottoms and then attached the tops to my card front. Next, I added a strip of Bitty Box Basics, a little lace and Aqua Mist ribbon along the bottom. The row of flowers was stamped using the little flower image in Little Bitty Bird. Lastly, my sentiment was stamped. 'Happy Birthday' is from Heart-2-Heart #2 and 'sweet friend' is from Heart-2-Heart #4.

Plj_day5_2

For this next card I reached way back and pulled out a set I haven't used in quite awhile...Peaceful Poinsettia.  Using the same colors...Pure Poppy, Spring Moss, Sweet Blush and Aqua Mist I stamped the front of my card using the floral images. I stamped one of the sentiments from Peace, Love & Joy on the front and then moved on to create a matching tag. This set will surely come in handy when it comes time for holiday gift giving!

That is the end of this release for me. I hope you've all enjoyed the little peeks I've been sharing with you over the past 5 days and can't wait to see your creations around the web using these sets. Again, thank you all for your kind comments and e-mails! :)

Heart-2-Heart #7 & Happy Haunting - Day 4

Happy Monday everyone! Welcome back for day four of the Papertrey Ink countdown for this month. Only two more days to go before everything you've been seeing will be available. I have some bright and cheery projects for you today so let's get right to them, shall we?!

Up first for today is Heart-2-Heart #7.

H2h7_day4_7

I had a few flowers left over from my projects on day 1 so I thought I would use up those to create this card.  I used the Flipping Out flower die again to create my flower centers.

**Just a little reminder that  the tiny hearts in each Heart-2-Heart set coordinate with this flower die**

My sentiment was stamped in Fresh Snow and is from Think Big Favorites #10.

H2h7_day4_8

I pulled out the Funky Town patterned paper to create this next card.  I added my flowers, stems & leaves, a button and a bit of glitter to finish it. My sentiment is also from Heart-2-Heart #7.

H2h7_day4_6

And lastly I created a set of 'Hello' tags using more of the Funky Town patterned paper as well as the images in H-2-H #7. The tags were die cut using the Tag Sale #1 die.

Up next is Happy Haunting!

 Hh_day4_6

I know these aren't traditional Halloween colors but I couldn't resist creating little monsters and ghosts out of the same colors as the cards above! :) Each of these monsters/ghosts were stamped with the eyes and mouth images in the Happy Haunting set. As you can see in the photo the mixing options for these are endless...so many possibilites!!

Hh_day4_2

Using those die cut images I created this fun card. No sentiment needed!

Hh_day4_5

And on this one I used the Rickrack border die as well as the Double-Ended Banner dies. 'Boo to you!' is another one of the sentiments in Happy Haunting.

I'll be back tomorrow with the last post of the countdown. Thank you all SO very much for your kind comments and e-mails during the past few days. I appreciate it so much!

Be sure to stop by and see what these ladies have to share...

Heart-2-Heart #5 & Military Stars - Day 4

Ms_day4_3

Happy Wednesday everyone and welcome again to the Papertrey Ink countdown! Are you ready for a few more projects with stars and flags? I have a few for you using Heart-2-Heart #5 and Military Stars for today's post.

Ms_day4_2

I have been itching to create a few girly cards so that's what I have for you today. Using the smallest Seeing Stars die I created this plateful of star images. The floral ones were die cut using patterned paper from Echo Park and the others were stamped with the striped star image from Military Stars. Again, here is just another example of using this set for cards or projects that are not military or patriotic related.

Ms_day4_6

I added a piece of the Echo Park paper along the right side of my card and then worked from there. I stamped the circle star image from Miltary Stars onto Sweet Blush cardstock and punched it out with my 1.75 circle punch. I added one of the Berry Sorbet stars that I die cut and stamped earlier and added it to the center with foam adhesive.

Ms_day4_7

The sentiment 'Shine It's your day!' is from Lighten Up! The tag was created with the Tag Sale #1 die.

Ms_day4_4

Moving on to Heart-2-Heart #5. After die cutting my flag pennants with the coordinating Heart-2-Heart #5 die I stamped a couple of them with the outline flag image in the H-2-H #5 set. I added them underneath my flag line using foam adhesive to give it a bit more dimension.

 Ms_day4_5

The sentiment is also from Heart-2-Heart #5. I added a strip of glitter, another doily, some Sweet Blush ribbon and a Simply Charteuse button to complete it.

Thanks so much for popping it to say hello today! Tomorrow is the final day of the countdown and I'll have more to share using Military Hero. Until then be sure to pop on over to visit these ladies...

Flower Fusion #3 - Day 3

Day 3 of the Papertrey Ink April countdown has arrived and I have more to share with you today using Flower Fusion #3. I'm excited that so many of you love these little sets as much as I do. Thanks so much for letting me know and leaving me such kind comments and e-mails! :)

Let's get right to business today....

Untitled-1
Here is a picture of pretty much everything I used for todays project. I labeled everything in the picture except the ink which is Berry Sorbet and Dark Chocolate. I thought it might be easier for you all to have a visual of all the supplies! ;)

Ff_day3_2

Back in February when Flower Fusion #1 was released I created a set of tags. You can see them HERE. I thought it would be kinda fun to create another set using Flower Fusion #3.

Ff3_day3_4

On each of the tags I stamped the gridline background from Background Basics: Geometrics off to the side. I'll give you a quick run down of what each of the flowers were made with on each of the tags:

  1. cork & FF #3 flower die
  2. Pure Poppy cardstock
  3. Bliss fabric (this is the only one that was not created with the FF #3 die...I just rolled a long piece of fabric into a rose/flower)

Ff3_day3_5

  1. Pure Poppy felt & embroidery floss
  2. Vintage Cream felt & one of the Beautiful Blooms #2 flower dies for the bottom flower, Bliss fabric & FF #3 flower die on top
  3. Pure Poppy felt & FF #3 die for bottom flower, Vintage Cream cardstock & FF #3 die on top flower...I stamped that in Berry Sorbet using one of the flower images in the set

Ff3_day3_6

  1. Bliss fabric & FF #3 flower die for the bottom flower and Vintage Cream felt & Beautiful Blooms #2 flower die  for the top
  2. Vintage Cream cardstock & FF #3 flower die, both top and bottom flower were stamped in Berry Sorbet using one of the flower images in the set
  3. Bliss fabric & FF #3 flower die.... I created 5 flowers and then hot glued them all together to create a 'messy' more dimensional flower.

Ff3_day3_3

Two more days of projects to share and then Flower Fusion #3 and all of the other Papertrey goodies you have been eyeing will be available. Sit back and relax this morning with your cup of coffee or tea and hop on over to visit the rest of the Papertrey gals....

Day 2 - Introducing Flower Fusion #2

Hi everyone and welcome to day 2 of this months Papertrey Ink release countdown. I am so, so happy that you are all excited about Sending You. I have been having a ball stamping with it and keep thinking of new ways to use it. I have a list on my desk of ideas and it seems to keep growing and growing. Gotta love that! Still so much to share with you using that set!!

For todays project I mixed a little of Sending You and a little of Flower Fusion #2. Both sets will be available for purchase starting March 15th on the Papertrey Ink website. Here's a bit of info for you about the next installment in the Flower Fusion series:

  • there are 7 images - 2 large flowers, 2 small flowers, 1 leave/stem image, 2 sentiments
  • will retail for $5
  • has a coordinating flower die
  • available March 15th

Lets get started...

Ff2_day2_1

Using the die that coordinates with the frame image from Sending You I created these 'tags'. The frame image was stamped in True Black ink.

Ff2_day2_2

The stems from Flower Fusion #2 were stamped in Chartreuse Palette ink in various different angles on each one.

Ff2_day2_3

Next, I wanted to create tags out of these so I marked the top center of each frame with a  little dot and then flipped my punch upside down and lined the dot up in the center of the hole and punched it out.

Ff2_day2_4

Here they are stamped with some of the sentiments from Sending You.

Ff2_day2_5

I chose to work with blues for this project...shocking, isn't it? Not a single bit of pink in this whole thing. :)

I ran my chosen papers and cardstock through my die cut machine with the coordinating Flower Fusion #2 die.

Ff2_day2_6

And then stamped them all with one of the two large flowers in the set.

Ff2_day2_8

And here they are all together. A simple little tag set that would be perfect for many different occasions. I really love how you can use this frame image in more ways than one.

That's a wrap for day 2! More to come tomorrow using Sending You! And there is still more to see today....

  • Nichole
  • Heather
  • Maile

all have lots to share!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Introducing Sending You

It's that time again! Time for this months Papertrey Ink countdown and I couldn't be more excited to share my new sets with you. Today I'm going to focus on just one of the two sets I have coming out this month....Sending You. I adore this set! So much fun and so many possibilities when stamping with it. You will see as I share my projects with you over the next 5 days!

Before we get started with todays projects here are a few details about this set:

  • 23 images (7 flower images, 6 leave images, 1 frame, 9 sentiments)
  • it will retail for $24
  • there are coordinating dies for the frame & two of the leaves
  • it will be available for purchase on the Papertrey Ink website starting March 15th

Let's jump right in, shall we?!

Sy_day1_1

Here is a shot of all my projects I made for day one. I used one sheet of Dotty Biscotti patterned paper to create all of these along with some Orange Zest, Kraft and white.

 Sy_day1_10

Now one of the best things (I think) about this set is that it works perfectly with many of the flower dies that Papertrey Ink offers. For this first card I used the Beautiful Blooms #2 die collection.

 Sy_day1_11

After running the flowers through my die machine I stamped them with Versamark ink using three of the flower images in the Sending You set.

Sy_day1_12

Each one was sprinkled with embossing powder and heated up.

 Sy_day1_4

The leaves & sentiment (part of the set) were stamped in Dark Chocolate ink. The leaves have a die which will make creating super fast!

Sy_day1_5

For my next card I used the frame image that is included in the set! I already know I am going to be using this A LOT! This also has a coordinating die!!

Sy_day1_3

After die cutting and stamping my frame I stamped the leaves, flowers and sentiment. There is a solid and outlined leave image, that you see above, that is part of Sending You.

Sy_day1_13

For todays last project I used the Beautiful Blooms #1 die collection!

Sy_day1_2

I stamped the largest flower in the set onto a piece of white cardstock and then lined it up underneath the Dotty Biscotti patterned paper so it would be right in the center of the die cut flower. I attached the white cardstock to my cardfront and then used foam adhesive under the patterned paper and attached it over the white.

I also created a tag using the frame image and die!

Sy_day1_6

That wraps up day one! Both Nichole and Betsy will be sharing projects with you all today using Sending You and Heather and Maile have projects using their new sets too...be sure to stop by!

I'll see you tomorrow with lots more to share including a project using Flower Fusion #2! :)

Sweet Mint Motif Tags

I dedicated my whole afternoon yesterday to catching up on some stamping and it felt sooo good...had my ipod playing with my favorite tunes, a warm cup of coffee by my side and the whole basement to myself! I hate being behind on things and it felt really good to play catch up and just have some me time.

Here is one of the little projects I completed using Mint Motif's Sweet Hearts set. No sentiments on these....just the sweet images and lots of paper piecing!

Mmsweettags_2

The blue polka dot patterned paper I used for the paper piecing is from Jillibean Soup...from the Soup Staples Collection. The paper, as well as the Cotton Candy Pink twine I used on the tops of the tags, you can find at i{heart}papers. I created the large tags using Papertrey Ink's Tag Sale #1 die.

Mmsweettags

Glitter, scallops, flowers, doilies...all a girls favorite things! Well, this girl anyway. ;)

So glad you stopped by today...thank you! I hope you all have a super day. I'm going to be spending it next door with my grandparents! Coffee, muffins and a bit of cleaning and organizing. A perfect morning! :)

Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone!  Long time, no see! It's been nutty around here lately...not much time for stamping and creating but I wanted to pop in and share a little something with you all today.

A dear friend of mine just celebrated a birthday a couple of weeks ago and I went to my favorite site to search for her gift...Etsy!

Neck

I came across this necklace from caughtREDhanded and I just loved it and thought it suited her perfectly.

Bwishes

I pulled out one of my glassine bags from Papertrey Ink and thought it would be the perfect packaging for her gift. I used the die from my latest set, Flower Fusion #1, to create the flower just like I did in this post. I stamped the stem and leaves onto a piece of cardstock and then trimmed out just the leaves to use with my flower. Those were attached to a tag punched out with my Marvy tag punch. The sentiment 'Birthday Wishes' is from my set, Asian Fusion. I added a doily, rhinestones and a button to complete it.

BTW...she loved the necklace! :) Now I want one!

Have a wonderful day everyone and thanks for stopping by to say hi!

Flower Fusion #1 - Day 3

WOW, WOW, WOW...thank you all SO much for the sweet comments on my tags yesterday and for your excitement for Flower Fusion #1. It really makes me so incredibly happy knowing that I have created something that not only I love but all of you do as well. I hope that over the next two days I can inspire you just a little more when it comes to creating with this stamp set.

We're half way there! Only two more days until everything you have been seeing will be available for purchase. You can find all the new Papertrey Ink goodies right on their website starting February 15th.  So let's start with a little recap of my newest set, Flower Fusion #1:

  • 7 images: 2 flowers, 1 stem & leaves, 4 sentiments
  • will retail for $5
  • has a coordinating flower die (sold separately)
  • will be available for purchase starting Feb. 15th

For todays contest Nichole has challenged you all to think BIG and create a large scale tag, card or embellishment. And another BIG prize is up for grabs...you definitely won't want to miss it. Playing along again for the challenge I created my own set of large scale tags using Flower Fusion #1.

Ff_day3_2

I started first by cutting 3 pieces of cardstock into tag shape. For today's peek I used Summer Sunrise, Lavender Moon and Raspberry Fizz for my main colors. I then stamped dots from Polka Dot Basics onto each one in the same ink colors.

Ff_day3_3

Next, I stamped the stem & leave image in Fresh Snow ink over the dots. I stamped the image again onto Ripe Avacado and trimmed each leave out and attached it over the first with dimensional ahdesive. Using the Flower Fusion #1 flower die I created my 3 flowers out of Vintage Cream felt.

Ff_day3_4

Using the medium scallop border die I created these for the bottom of my tags. They were stamped with the gridline background image from Background Basics: Geometrics.

Ff_day3_1

And here they are all together! More springy goodness! :) 'Have a wonderful day!' & 'Miss you!'....both sentiments are included in this new set. Each tag measures 4 X 5.25" so they will fit perfectly into an A2 envelope.

Ff_day3_5

That does it for day 3! Nichole has peeks of Flower Fusion #1 today as well and Dawn and Heather both have more to share using their new sets! Another day packed full of Papertrey goodness!

So happy you stopped by! See you right back here tomorrow with even more to share. Until then, I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday!
