I'm excited that you're excited about them! :) I am looking forward to seeing all of your projects around the web using Polka Dot Parade #2 and Background Basics: Birthday Fun. Before we get to the final projects let me recap both of these sets...

For card #1 I started by stamping the bottom portion of my Spring Moss card base using the Polka Dot Basics stamp set. I cut a piece of white cardstock to 3.25 x 4.25 and then started stamping my images. All of the images are from Polka Dot Parade #2 except for the bottom 'Thinking of you today...' birthday sentiment, which is from Make A Wish. I added a piece of Aqua Mist ribbon to the side a well as a Plum Pudding button to finish it.

5

For card #2 I started again with a Spring Moss card base and then stamped this one using the new Background Basics: Birthday Fun stamp set. I stamped the three gifts across my white cardstock using Lavender Moon, Aqua Mist, Ripe Avocado and Plum Pudding. I added that to my card front and then added a Lavender Moon bow. I used the Make A Wish stamp set again for my sentiment.

3

For card #3 I mixed one of the new backgrounds in Background Basics: Birthday Fun with the Sweet As Can Be stamp set. I started by stamping my background in Aqua Mist, added a strip of ruffled ribbon and Lavender Moon ribbon. I then die cut my cone and ice cream scoop and stamped the images inside. After adhering it to my card front I attached a Aqua Mist button and cherry leaves from Fruit Fusion: Cherries. Lastly, my sentiment was stamped.

That completes this months countdown for me! I've so enjoyed sharing my projects with you. There are a few more stops that you won't want to miss...

Flower Fusion #6 & Sweet As Can Be - Day 4

Welcome everyone to day 4 of Julys Papertrey Ink countdown. I have a few more cards for you today using two of my sets that will be released on the 15th. Let's get right to them....

Ff6_day2_9

For todays first two cards I started by cutting strips of cardstock. The colors I chose...Pure Poppy, Terracotta Tile, Orange Zest and Summer Sunrise.

Ff6_day2_15

I used Flower Fusion #6 for both cards and stamped them onto a piece of white cardstock that was die cut with the Button Card Collection die. The flower was stamped in Pure Poppy and the stem/leaves in Simply Chartreuse. After I attached the strips of cardstock I added a few strips of glitter.

Ff6_day2_5

I kept the layout the same on this next card but instead of glitter I stamped the outlined flower image from Flower Fusion #6 on the strips instead. This flower was stamped in Orange Zest. To finish both cards I just added some ribbon, a button and a small pearl in the centers of the flowers.

Up next I created a frame out of white cardstock and glitter. Yup, more glitter! You all know I can't live without the stuff. ;)

Sacb_day4_3

I used Sweet As Can Be for this card. I stamped the cone in True Black ink in the center of my frame and then added my felt scoops on top.

The dotted patterned paper is from my new patterned paper collection, Funky Town, which will be released on the 15th along with the stamps and all the other Papertrey Ink goodies you've been seeing.

Sacb_day4_6

I used the sentiment 'sweet' from Sweet As Can Be and then used 'GIRL' from Sweet Baby to create my sentiment.

That's all for today from me! Be sure to pop on over to visit these ladies....

Introducing Sweet As Can Be

Welcome everyone to the first day of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I'm very excited to get started and start sharing my projects with you all using my three new sets. For today I'm going to share projects using my ice cream set...Sweet As Can Be! A perfect stamp set for these hot summer days!

Before we get to the projects I'll give you the scoop (I just couldn't resist ;) on the set...

 Sweet As Can Be!

  • there are 12 images - 5 ice cream scoops...3 patterned, 1 solid, 1 outline, 2 cones...1 outline & 1 patterned, a cherry, 3 sentiments & the word 'sweet'
  • will retail for $15
  • has a coordinating cone and scoop die
  • available July 15th on the Papertrey Ink website

Sacb_day1_2

Up first is a card I created using the coordinating cone and scoop die and some Dark Chocolate and Melon Berry felt. I started by adding a strip of Melon Berry and Spring Moss cardstock across the middle of my card. I then moved onto the tag.

Sacb_day1_3

The Tag Sale #1 die was stamped in Melon Berry using the Background Basics: Gingham set. After adhering my strip of lace across the center I placed my ice cream cone on top. Instead of the cherry I added a Spring Moss button.

Sacb_day1_4

Here is one of the sentiments in the set. I really love how you can stamp the word 'sweet' separately from the rest of the sentiment!

Sacb_day1_10

Up next is a card using one of the patterned scoops in the set. Again, I ran the cone and scoop through my die cut machine and then stamped my scoop in Pure Poppy ink. There is also a patterned cone image as well as an outlined one in the set but I left my cone on this card blank.

 Sacb_day1_6

Happy Birthday, sweet thing! is another sentiment in the set.

Sacb_day1_7

Lastly for today I made a set of invitations! My kiddos and I have been talking about having an ice cream party before school starts back up so I created these to send off to their friends. I have attached the file for you to print your own off below. All you have to do is add your ice cream cone or whatever ice cream image you would like.

After printing them all off I moved onto my ice cream cones. I created a variety of different colored scoops using the die again....Hawaiian Shores, Hibiscus, Orange Zest, Simply Chartreuse and Summer Sunrise. I stamped each scoop with the outline scoop image in the set.

I'm so glad you all stopped by today! I'll have more to share tomorrow using another one of my newest sets plus I'll have more to share of Sweet As Can Be later in the countdown. Be sure to stop by and see what the other Papertrey gals have to share....
