OK - are you ready for more flowers! :) I'm really excited about today's cards! I started by pulling out my Distressed Dots patterned paper collection and ran a piece of each color through my Cuttlebug with the frame die that coordinates with the frame image from Sending You.
After they were all die cut I stamped the frame image in Dark Chocolate ink.
I knew each of my cards were going to include the leaves from Sending You so I went ahead and die cut them all ahead of time with the coordinating leave die. I really love how both sizes of leaves are on one die.
A shot of my first 3 cards!
The flowers on this first card are a mix of a couple of different dies. The larger turquoise and white flowers were created out of tissue paper using the Beautiful Blooms ll #2 flower dies. The smaller flower was made out of cork using the Flower Fusion #2 die. 'I appreciate you' is from Flower Fusion #2.
For the second card I used the Flower Fusion #2 die once again. This time doing something a bit different.....
I first started by running a piece of Harvest Gold felt & my die through my die machine two times.
You'll want to leave the first flower as is but on the second one you will want to cut out one of the stems. Don't throw it out though because we're going to use that little piece.
Next, you'll want to fold one of the stems over the other and adhere it. I use my glue gun for this. You just need a little dab to hold it in place.
Now this is where that little piece comes in. You will need to add another dab of glue and fold it in the center of the folded flower. Then you are going to adhere that over the very first flower so they look like they do below...
I love making these flowers! Just another way to use those flower dies!
Beautiful Blooms ll #2 flower dies again here as well as the Flower Fusion #2 die. The white flowers were made with tissue paper and the blue with Blueberry Sky felt. I made a little cut in between each petal for this one.
A shot of my next 3 cards for today.
The smaller flower from the Delightful Dahlia collection was used to create this flower.
For this next one the large red flower was created with the Beautiful Blooms ll #1 die collection. The white flower was made with one of the Cuttlebug flower dies and was stamped in Pure Poppy ink with the medium sized flower from Sending You.
And last but not least...these cute little flowers were made again with the Flower Fusion #2 die. I used Aqua Mist cardstock and then stamped the outline flower image in Pure Poppy.
Well, that completes my projects for this months countdown! I have had so much fun using these two new sets and I hope I've inspired you just a smidge ;) ! I hope to see you all tonight at the release party. Don't forget it starts at 10PM EST in the Papertrey forum!
Don't forget to check out the amazing projects Nichole, Heather and Maile have to share with you today as well!
Have a great day everyone!
