Heart-2-Heart #11 - Day 1

Hello everyone! I apologize for the delay in my release postings. I'll be sharing a quick post with you over the next five days using my new set, Heart-2-Heart #11, which is being released tonight on the Papertrey Ink website at 10pm est.  Nichole has lots of info on her blog about this set as well as all of the other sets being released this month.

Since Christmas is upon us I thought I would create a card focused on the upcoming holiday. Included in the new Heart-2-Heart set are 3 heart images...1 striped, 1 swirly, 1 outline. I stamped two of them along my card front using Pure Poppy & Aqua Mist ink. I added a couple strips of polka dot washi tape and then moved down to my sentiment.

'Sending you lots of' and 'L   VE' are two of the sentiments included in this set. To fill in the empty space for the 'O' I stamped one of the heart images. 'This holiday season!' is from Peace, Love & Joy.

Heart-2-Heart #9 - Day 4

Hello, my stamping friends! We're getting closer to release time with only one more day to go before all of these new Papertrey Ink products will be available. Included in this release is my latest $5 Heart-2-Heart set that features a few different wedding images. Let's jump right to todays card....

I created this card the same day I created the LOVE card for day 2 but didn't share it with you.  I wanted to show you that this little $5 set can be used for more than just a wedding/anniversary/love card. It could also be used for Christmas or holiday cards. I used the sentiments in Peace, Love & Joy and combined it with the dove image from Heart-2-Heart #9 to create this one.

I die cut my dove, stamped him with Aqua Mist ink and then gave him a little dimension by adding foam adhesive behind him. A bit of Aqua Mist ribbon, a lace doily and a strip of glitter were the finishing touches.

Up first for today is this card using Heart-2-Heart #8. I started with a Vintage Cream base and then stamped my tree trunks in Spring Moss ink. I die cut 3 trees, using the coordinating Heart-2-Heart #8 die, in Sweet Blush, Pure Poppy and Aqua Mist. I cut the trunks off the bottoms and then attached the tops to my card front. Next, I added a strip of Bitty Box Basics, a little lace and Aqua Mist ribbon along the bottom. The row of flowers was stamped using the little flower image in Little Bitty Bird. Lastly, my sentiment was stamped. 'Happy Birthday' is from Heart-2-Heart #2 and 'sweet friend' is from Heart-2-Heart #4.

For this next card I reached way back and pulled out a set I haven't used in quite awhile...Peaceful Poinsettia.  Using the same colors...Pure Poppy, Spring Moss, Sweet Blush and Aqua Mist I stamped the front of my card using the floral images. I stamped one of the sentiments from Peace, Love & Joy on the front and then moved on to create a matching tag. This set will surely come in handy when it comes time for holiday gift giving!

Peace, Love & Joy + Heart-2-Heart #8 - Day 4

Day 4 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown is here which means that we are getting that much closer to release day. I have two more cards for today using both Peace, Love & Joy and Heart-2-Heart #8. Let's get started, shall we? :)

I pulled out the Half & Half stamp set and die collection for this first card. I stamped one of the sentiments from Half & Half on the bottom of the die image and then adhered my Heart-2-Heart #8 tree image above that. I also die cut a few flowers using some Hibiscus felt and the flower die from the Flipping Out die collection.  

Up next is a Christmas card using Peace, Love & Joy. I started with a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock and just started stamping my words randomly using Ocean Tides, Hibiscus and Chartreuse. If there was any empty space between the words I filled them in with the little decorative image you see. For my tree I used the Christmas tree die with a piece of Simply Chartreuse felt and then added a few Hibiscus buttons and Vintage Cream ribbon. Lastly, I added my sentiment, from Holiday Button Bits, and a strip of glitter!

Hello again and happy Wednesday! I'm back for day 3 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown and have two more cards to share with you all today. Let's jump right in...

Up first...

This first card features one of my favorite color combos and LOTS of different stamp sets together. I thought it would be a good idea to show how Peace, Love & Joy could also be used for cards other than holiday cards. Here are the sets and dies I used to create this one...

The second card for today also uses the word LOVE from Peace, Love & Joy but this time I created a holiday card with it. I started with my Aqua Mist card base and then added a strip of Bitty Dot Basics paper along the left side. My sentiment was stamped onto a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock. 'With LOVE this holiday season!'...this is just one of the many different ways you could stamp your sentiments in this set.  I added a few other details to finish this one off....a Leafy Vine strip, another heart and one end of a Double Ended Banner.

Peace, Love & Joy + Heart-2-Heart #8 - Day 2

Hello everyone! We are back for day two of the Papertrey Ink September countdown. I have more cards to share using the two new $5 sets being released this month...Peace, Love & Joy and Heart-2-Heart #8. Both of these will be available starting September 15th on the Papertrey Ink website.

Up first for today is this little number. Another clean and simple card that make those bold words stand out. I chose to stamp Love, Peace & Joy in non-traditional Christmas colors....Berry Sorbet, Summer Sunrise and Ripe Avocado.  I added a strip of Bitty Dot paper along the side and also a stip of glitter to give it just a bit of shine.

Next up is Heart-2-Heart #8. I used the same color combo and again kept my design pretty clean adding only a few extra little accents to dress it up a bit. The grass along the bottom of the trees was stamped using the grass image in the Hanging Out set and the little bird is from Tweet Talk.

Introducing Peace, Love & Joy + Heart-2-Heart #8

It's that time again! Welcome everyone to the first day of the September Papertrey Ink countdown. Hard to believe that fall is in the air and that the holidays will be quickly approaching. I always love this time of year.

September is always the month for new holiday goodies from PTI. I have two new sets to share with you this month...one being a holiday set and the other is the next set in the Heart-2-Heart series.

Up first is Heart-2-Heart #8

I kept both cards for today pretty clean and simple. For card #1 I used the coordinating tree die and die cut 3 trees using some cute floral patterned paper from Martha Stewart. My sentiment is two separate stamps.... 'You make me' is one and 'happy!' is another. There are three other sentiments to finish the 'You make me' that I will be sharing with you over the next 4 days. To finish card #1 I added a few Pure Poppy buttons to the trees.

For this card I started by stamping my bold, decorative words, PEACE & LOVE and then added 'Wishing you' and 'this holiday season!' above and below. The dove image was die cut using the Peace Be Still dove die. Lastly, I added a strip of Pure Poppy cardstock that I die cut using the Rickrack border die.
