Welcome back for day 2 of the February Papertrey Ink countdown. I have another somewhat lengthy post for you today with cards featuring my two latest sets, Be Happy and Sweet Speech. They will both be available starting February 15th at 10pm EST on the Papertrey Ink website.
Let's start with Sweet Speech today.
For card #1 I mixed the speech bubble, 'Congrats', with a few other sets...the bear is from Polka Dot Parade #4, 'on the birth of your baby girl' is from Inside & Out: Baby, 'sweet' is from Sweet As Can Be and the lined background is from Journaling Lines. I die cut the speech bubble and then stamped my image inside using Orange Zest ink. The die cut flowers and leaves and the flowers stamped along the bottom are all from Sweet Speech. The striped lines on the top are from Be Happy.
Next is a card I created using both Be Happy and Sweet Speech together. I started by stamping my Raspberry Fizz card front with the 'Congrats' speech bubble. The strip of Hawaiian Shores was stamped using the flower and leave images from Sweet Speech. I die cut and stamped my sentiment and adhered it to my card using dimensional adhesive. Then came my butterflies. Notice the smaller butterflies? That is one of my favorite things about this new stamp set and coordinating dies. I created them so your butterfly could be stamped or die cut using two separate colors.
And now more of Be Happy...
This was a super quick and simple card to create but I just love the way it turned out.
I die cut a piece of vellum for the center of my large butterfly. Again, I gave it a slight bend before adhering it. 'Happy birthday' is from Make A Wish.
Card #4 features lots of die cut butterflies and lots of layering!
'Happy' and 'to you' are from Be Happy and 'Happy Birthday' is from Birthday Basics.
And last but not least for the day. I used the striped frame image and also the inside of the frame for this one. 'Sending you my gratitude' is from Sending You. More bright and cheery flowers and butteflies finish it off!
Thanks for dropping by today. Til tomorrow...
