Mint Motif - A day that is special

I have yet another card for you on this Monday morning using stamps from Mint Motif. When creating the card in THIS POST I punched a bunch of extra flowers out and used a few more on todays card. Extras are always nice to have on hand!

Flowers

Here's a plateful of them using more patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.

Mm_special_1

And here is my card. If you'll notice I stamped and heat embossed the left side of my card using the polka dot background image in Beyond Borders, Too.

Mm_special_2

I added a few of my flowers along with some leaves I punched out using a Martha Stewart leaf punch and a few buttons. 'Wishing you a day that is special' is one of the many sentiments in the Simply Sentiments set. Both Simply Sentiments and Beyond Borders, Too are available exclusively through i {heart} papers!

That's all I have for today, my friends! Thank you all for stopping in. I hope your day is fabulous!

Mint Motif - Happiest Birthday to You

TGIF everyone! I hope you have all enjoyed your week. I have another Mint Motif card to share with you today. This one was made with both of Mint Motif's newest sets...Beyond Borders, Too and Simply Sentiments. You can find them both on the i {heart} papers website.

Mm_hbyou_8

I've had these red chipboard letters for a LONG time and put them to use on this card. I used the 'happiest birthday to you' stamp from Simply Sentiments and stamped it onto my cardstock being careful not to ink up the 'you'. My flower for the 'o' was created out of twine, felt and a rolled flower made from My Mind's Eye Dilly Dally collection.

Mm_hbyou_2

The bottom portion of my card was stamped with the chicken wire background image from Beyond Borders, Too.

There are quite a few sentiments in the Simply Sentiments set that have a 'you' at the end. These could easily be replaced with a 'you' like the one I created above. Just gives you another option when creating with sentiment sets, which I love! :)

That's all for today. Have a wonderful weekend and a Happy Easter!

Mint Motif - Always Be Yours

Today I'm sharing a card with you using the newest sentiment set from Mint Motif...Simply Sentiments. This set is chalk full of sentiments that cover so many different occasions and is available exclusively through i {heart} papers.

Mm013

Mm_yours_1

It seems like punches have sort of taken a back seat to die cutting so I decided to pull out my flower punches and show them a little love for this card. I used two of my retro flower punches from EK Success and patterned paper from My Mind's Eye.

 Mm_yours_2

I added a button to the center of each of my flowers and a strip of cream ruffle edge trim along the bottom. I trimmed a couple of pieces of felt for my leaves and gave each one a quick stitch down the middle on my machine.

Mm_yours_3

'Hoping the best things in life will always be yours' was stamped in dark brown and a few pearls were added to complete it!

I hope you are all enjoying your week. Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Til next time...

Mint Motif - A friend like you

Hi there everyone! I hope that your week has started off nicely. It has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL here the past couple of days. Sun is shining...no clouds in the sky...temps in the low 70's. Just perfect!

I thought I would pop on this morning and share a card with you using the newest sets from Mint Motif....Beyond Borders Too and Simply Sentiments! Both are available exclusively through i {heart} papers!

Mmbbtoo_1

I started by stamping the bottom of my white card base using one of the four background strips in the Beyond Borders Too set. I added a strip of Kraft above that and a strip of glitter. I had a few pieces of pink polka dot fabric hanging around and cut a bunch of petals out of them. I sewed them all together attaching a turquoise button and a couple of Prima leaves.

Mmbbtoo_2

'Happiness is having a friend like you'. LOVE this little sentiment from Simply Sentiments! Where would we be without good friends?! Mine sure do bring me lots of happiness!!

Well my friends, that's all I have for today. Thanks for popping in to say hello. I hope you all enjoy your day and the sun is shining wherever you are! :)

Sweet Mint Motif Tags

I dedicated my whole afternoon yesterday to catching up on some stamping and it felt sooo good...had my ipod playing with my favorite tunes, a warm cup of coffee by my side and the whole basement to myself! I hate being behind on things and it felt really good to play catch up and just have some me time.

Here is one of the little projects I completed using Mint Motif's Sweet Hearts set. No sentiments on these....just the sweet images and lots of paper piecing!

Mmsweettags_2

The blue polka dot patterned paper I used for the paper piecing is from Jillibean Soup...from the Soup Staples Collection. The paper, as well as the Cotton Candy Pink twine I used on the tops of the tags, you can find at i{heart}papers. I created the large tags using Papertrey Ink's Tag Sale #1 die.

Mmsweettags

Glitter, scallops, flowers, doilies...all a girls favorite things! Well, this girl anyway. ;)

So glad you stopped by today...thank you! I hope you all have a super day. I'm going to be spending it next door with my grandparents! Coffee, muffins and a bit of cleaning and organizing. A perfect morning! :)

Get Sketchy #73

Another Valentine/love card for you today using this weeks Get Sketchy challenge mixed with a little Mint Motif.

Here is this weeks sketch:

73

And my card:

 Gs_73_3

Love these bright, cheery colors. The felt flowers are from K&Company. I was out and about a few days ago and saw them while shopping at my local craft store. Just loved them and had to have them. They worked perfectly for this particular sketch.

Gs_73_2

The sentiment, 'my sweetheart', is from Mint Motif's Sweet Hearts stamp set. Such a perfect font combination, don't you think.

Enjoy your day and thanks for taking the time to visit today! :)

So Sweet...

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend? Did you do anything fun and exciting? We had a nice, relaxing one here...just the kind I like. My book club is reading the series of books by Stieg Larsson and I was able to curl up and finish the second one, The Girl Who Played with Fire, Friday night. Wow...GREAT books but very, very dark. After finishing the book I decided to watch the movie on the first book, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and then attempted to watch the second movie last night but Netflix wasn't cooperating with me. I'm going to try again tonight! Then I'll move onto the third. Have any of you been reading these? I've heard that the third isn't quite as good as the first two. Just curious what you're thoughts are.

How about a card for today...

Sosweet_3

I combined two sets, Sweet Hearts and Very Square Sentiments from Mint Motif, for todays card. Pretty much everything you see on this card can be found at i {hearts} papers... the twine, the flowers and the patterned paper and of course the stamps.

Sosweet_2

The lids of the jars were colored with a Copic marker. After paper piecing them together I added all the final little details. :)

I hope you all enjoy your Monday!
