Flower Fusion #4 & Fruit Fusion - Day 5

Welcome to the final day of the Papertrey Ink countdown. I have just a few more cards to share with you today using my new sets....Flower Fusion #4 and one of the sets in the Fruit Fusion collection...Cherries. Before I jump in I want to thank each and every one of you for visiting my blog, leaving such sweet comments and sending the nicest e-mails. I love to hear from you and appreciate you taking the time to contact me and show me your support and excitement for each of my new designs. It means so much!!

**All of my latest sets in the Fruit Fusion collection as well as Flower Fusion #4 will be available on the Papertrey Ink website starting May 15th!**

Ff4_day5_2

Up first is this bright and cheery little number. Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest and Simply Chartreuse is the color combo. The cardstock strips were stamped in their matching colors using the flower images in Flower Fusion #4. I machine stitched them and adhered them to my card front.

Ff4_day5_3

I used Beautiful Blooms ll #2 die to create my large orange flower. I created a Simply Chartreuse felt flower using the coordinating Flower Fusion #4 die and then adhered it over the first. The leaves are from Sending You and the sentiment is one of the two included in the Flower Fusion #4 set.

Ff4_day5_4

FYI...I added thread around my flower by poking a hole through the center of it and then pulled my needle up from the bottom and continually wrapped it around the middle of each petal.

Ff4_day5_5

For this next card I started by punching 1" squares out of cardstock. The colors....Spring Moss, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush and Raspberry Fizz.

Ff4_day5_6

I stamped each square with the solid flower image in Flower Fusion #4 and then created my pattern on the front of my card. Then I machine stitched them all together.

Ff4_day5_7

'You are so thoughtful!' is from Flower Fusion #2. The felt butterly was made using the Love Lives Here butterfly die and Raspberry Fizz felt. The smaller one was punched out of vellum using a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.

Ff4_day5_8

In the first card above I die cut leaves from Sending You and this card was created using the negative piece of cardstock that was left over. I just couldn't let that piece go to waste. :) Pure Poppy, Berry Sorbet and Simply Chartreuse...what's not to love about these colors together!!!!

Ff4_day5_9

The Pure Poppy flower was created using the Beautiful Blooms ll #1 die and Pure Poppy felt. I created another flower to top that one using Berry Sorbet cardstock and the coodinating Flower Fusion #4 die. The inside of the negative space was stamped with the leaves from Sending You and 'Love You a bunch!' is from the Fruit Fusion: Grapes set.

Fruit_day5_1

Next up...Fruit Fusion: Cherries! I started by creating a tag using the Tag Sale #4 die and Dotti Biscotti patterned paper. I stamped my cherry stem onto a piece of white cardstock that I punched out using one of my EK Success circle punches.

Fruit_day5_2

I used the cherry die for my cherries and embossed a strip of Spring Moss cardstock using Polka Dot Basics ll impression plate . 'Sweet on you' is part of the cherries set.

Fruit_day5_3

And lastly for today I have another cherry card using some of the new Fruitti Tutti patterned paper. My base for my cherries was created with the Fillable Frames #1 die and under that is a scalloped Pure Poppy square created with Nestabilites.

Fruit_day5_4

'Sweet as can be' is from Baby Button Bits. A strip of glitter and two sweet felt cherries complete this one!

Well, my friends, that wraps up this months countdown! I hope you have enjoyed this last day of projects and can't wait to see what amazing things you will create with these sets!!

Tonight is the release party...10pm EST in the Papertrey forum. I hope to chat with you there! :)

Fruit_day4_dies

And Fruitti Tutti, my new patterned paper collection...

Sample2

I have a few more cards for you today using these new sets. I have more Flower Fusion for you but will be sharing that tomorrow.

I just want to mention that I used a lot of the same materials on each of these cards...creating them similar but a bit different. Before I even started I cut various colors of cardstock and stamped each one in their matching color using the Background Basics: Gingham stamp set. I also die cut the frame from Sending You to use on each card. Along the bottom of each frame I added a strip of glitter.

Fruit_day4_2

**Color combo: Kraft, Melon Berry, Simply Chartreuse & Harvest Gold**

Up first is the pear. I used the coordinating die and some Harvest Gold felt. After cutting it I used a needle and thread and stitched around the edges. If you'll notice in the picture of dies above, the pear die is one piece...both pear and stem. You can easily trim the top of the pear off if you want and create another stem out of something else and adhere it like I did on this card. The stem on this is just Simply Chartreuse cardstock stamped with one of the stem images.

Fruit_day4_3

'To a great pear'. Again, two separate stamps so you can mix your colors when stamping with them.

Fruit_day4_4

**Color combo: Kraft, Berry Sorbet & Chartreuse**

There are 3 different cherry images in the cherry set. 2 solid patterned ones and an outlined one. On this card I used just one of the patterned. They were each stamped in Berry Sorbet. **I want to mention before I go any further that the two patterned cherry images will come as one image in your stamp set. You can choose to leave them just like that for easy stamping or you can cut them apart giving you more versatility. I cut mine apart.**

Fruit_day4_5

I stamped the stem again onto a separate piece of cardstock and then trimmed them out and attached them over the others. 'hi sweetie!' is one of the two sentiments in the set.

Fruit_day4_7

**Color combo: Kraft, Hibiscus & Lemon Tart**

Next up...the berry. I stamped this in Hibiscus ink and then stamped the stem on a separate piece of cardstock and trimmed it out. You could easily just stamp both the berry and stem inside your die image keeping it simple. Or you could do like me and want to create a bit more dimension by stamping the stem onto a separate piece of cardstock and cutting it out. I gave each of the little pointy stem parts a slight bend and then adhered it over my berry.

Fruit_day4_8

'You're berry sweet!' is two separate stamps.

Fruit_day4_9

**Color combo: Kraft, Lavender Moon, Plum Pudding, Chartreuse**

Grapes up next...pretty clean and simple on this card. I started by stamping the outline grape image ink Plum Pudding and then the solid in Lavender Moon. I find it easier to stamp the outlined image first and then line up the solid image and stamp.

Fruit_day4_10

'Love you a' is one stamp and 'bunch!' is another. The scallop border was created with my Fiskars border punch.

Fruit_day4_12

**Color combo: Kraft, Pure Poppy & Sweet Blush**

Again keeping my design fairly clean and simple. I stamped my apple in Pure Poppy and the stem in Chartreuse Palette ink.

Fruit_day4_13

'Love you to the core!' is one of two sentiments in the set.

Fruit_day4_14

**Color combo: Kraft, Raspberry Fizz, Sweet Blush & Simply Chartreuse**

And last but certainly not least...the melon!! Some of you were guessing/hoping there would be a melon included and you got it. :) The melon die (if you notice in the picture above) cuts two separate pieces making creating with this SO much fun!!

Fruit_day4_15

'You're one in a melon'....again two separate images!!

Oh, the possibilities with these sets. I can't even tell you how many ideas I have written down and rolling around in my head!

The design team is highlighting Fruit Fusion today so be sure to stop by and see all their amazing work!

I'll see you back here tomorrow for the final day. I'll have more of Fruit Fusion to share as well as more projects using the newest addition to the Flower Fusion collection!

Have a wonderful day and thank you all so much for visiting!! :)

Flower Fusion #4 & Fruit Fusion - Day 3

Here we are for day 3 of the Papertrey Ink countdown for this month....welcome back! I have another somewhat lengthy post for today so grab a cup of coffee or tea, sit back and enjoy!

Both Flower Fusion #4 and Fruit Fusion will be available starting on the 15th.

Up first for today is another project using this months Flower Fusion set but before we being I have a little correction to make. In yesterdays post I said there were two flowers included in the Flower Fusion #4 set. There are actually three....2 larger ones and a smaller, center flower.

Ff4_day3_3

Today I'm using the coordinating die and the larger, outline flower image. After running my pieces of 2008 Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper through my die machine with the die I stamped each one in Dark Chocolate using the outlined flower.

Ff4_day3_4

Next, I stamped the stem/leave image onto a piece of white cardstock in Ripe Avacado ink and trimmed the leaves out.

 Ff4_day3_11

I attached all my flowers and leaves to the front of my card. 'Merci' is from Think Big Favorites #3. The frame around my Vintage Cream cardstock is from Button Boutique and was stamped in Dark Chocolate.

Ff4_day3_9

Using Button Boutique again I created a card of flower buttons. Just think of all the sweet flower buttons you can create with all the Flower Fusion dies. ;)

Ff4_day3_8

Fruit_day3_1

Next up is more of Fruit Fusion...how about some grapes next!

Fruit_day3_7

And look at this....another coordinating DIE!!!

Fruit_day3_2

'Miss you a bunch!' I used Aqua Mist & Lavender Moon for my color combo and also 2009 Bitty Dot Basics paper. The grapes are two separate images....one solid and one outlined to give you a bit more versatility when creating with them. Other supplies I used....Rickrack border die & an oval Nestability for my sentiment.

Fruit_day3_3

Here is another card using the same color combo. I incorporated a couple of stamps from 'All About You' with this card. After creating my grapes with the die and some Spring Moss cardstock I ran it back through my die machine with the Polka Dot Basics ll impression plate.

Fruit_day3_4

Those dots from the impression really make them look like grapes. More versatility...LOVE that!

Fruit_day3_5

And lastly for today...more of my patterned paper! I layered that over a piece of Hibiscus cardstock and then stitched around the border. The Simply Chartreuse oval was created with my Nestabilities.

Fruit_day3_6

I've had this spool of puffy white poof balls for ages and just now decided to pull them out and give 'em try. I used my hot glue gun to attach it just underneath the edge of my oval. The grapes were stamped in Hibiscus and Summer Sunrise and then sprinkled with glitter. I love how bright and summery they look! 'Hi Sweetie!' is also part of Fruit Fusion!

That's a wrap for day 3! I'll have more to share again tomorrow with more fruit...hmmm, what do you think they could be? Any ideas? Before you sign off today check out what the other ladies have to share....

Flower Fusion #4 & Fruit Fusion - Day 2

Hi there! Welcome back for day 2 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I have so much to share with you all today using both Flower Fusion #4 and Fruit Fusion. The response to both sets has been incredible....THANK YOU all so, so much! They will both be available starting May 15th right through the Papertrey Ink website.

Let's get started....

Up first is a trio of cards using, of course, my favorite colors...pink and green. I can not go through a countdown without doing atleast one set with pinks and greens! That would just not be right! :)

Fruit_day2_8

I pulled out my square scalloped & classic Nestabilities for these first two cards. Simply Chartreuse and Raspberry Fizz are the cardstock colors I used.

Ff4_day2_1

I stamped this first flower in Raspberry Fizz ink and the stem/leaves in Ripe Avacado. There are two flowers in the set...one larger and one smaller. Using the small one I stamped the center of the larger one with Sweet Blush ink. 'Thank you' is one of the sentiments from Flower Fusion #4.

Ff4_day2_3

Same design on this next card...I just flipped the colors and created a felt flower with the coordinating die instead of stamping one.

Ff4_day2_4

Notice the leaves on both cards...using my exacto knife I carefully trimmed half way down each of the leaves and then gave them a slight bend. I love how something so simple can add just that extra little touch to your project.

Fruit_day2_12

Up next...a sweet strawberry from Fruit Fusion. And another coordinating die! :)

Fruit_day2_11

After creating my strawberry with the die I stamped the berry and the stem...2 separate stamps. After stamping it I used a dimensional glaze and covered the front of it. ***After you apply it you will have to let it set for a bit. Mine took about an hour to dry. The glaze I used is by Plaid and I found it at my local craft store.***

Fruit_day2_9

The bottom portion of my card is Simply Chartreuse, Raspberry Fizz and Sweet Blush cardstock. They were each stamped in their matching colors using the oval image from Background Basics: Geometrics.

Fruit_day2_10

Making this dimensional strawberry takes me waaaay back to when I was a kid and collected Strawberry Shortcake stickers. Remember those puffy little things. Oh how I loved those!!

Fruit_day2_2

Up next is a duo of cards using some of the papers from my new patterned paper collection!!!!!!!!!!! I'm way beyond excited about this...aren't the colors yummy!!

Fruit_day2_1

For the first card I started by running a piece of Pure Poppy felt through my Cuttlebug with the strawberry die. For this particular card I wanted my stem to be a different color so I stamped the stem image onto a piece of cardstock and then trimmed it out and attached it over my felt strawberry.

Fruit_day2_4

Like 'apple' from yesterday, 'berry' is also a separate stamp allowing you to easily stamp it in a different color than the rest of the sentiment.

 Fruit_day2_5

I stitched tiny seed beads onto the strawberry to make it look like seeds. You can find those in the jewelry section at pretty much any store. If you ever use them for your projects be sure to have a thin needle on hand. The thicker the needle the harder time you're going to have getting that bead through!

Fruit_day2_6

And lastly...for this card I used the sentiment 'Sweet on you' and stamped it in the center of the frame from Tag It's #1.

Fruit_day2_7

I cut a strip of Simply Chartreuse cardstock, trimmed the edge and then scored down the center. To finish it off I added a Dark Chocolate button.

Phew - I think we made it! I hope you have enjoyed todays projects. Don't forget to pop on by and say hi to these ladies.....

Introducing Flower Fusion #4 & Fruit Fusion

Hi everyone! Welcome to the first day of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. Boy... these months seem to go fast lately, don't they?  I'm happy to be back and thrilled to start sharing projects with you all using my newest sets.

First up...the next installment in the Flower Fusion series...Flower Fusion #4. I can't tell you how happy I am to hear all your positive feedback about these sweet little $5 sets. They really are so fun to stamp with and the coordinating dies make them even better....I think anyway. ;)

Ff4_day1_1

I'll start today with a spring-y looking card. I created my flowers using the flower die that coordinates with #4 and some Harvest Gold, Terracotta Tile and Melon Berry felt. I stamped the stem/leaves in Ripe Avacado and then attached my flowers above. The sentiment 'hello friend' is from Think Big Favorites #3.

Ff4_day1_2

The dotted paper is from the 2009 Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper collection. The polka dot ribbon is from American Crafts.

Fruit_day1_1

Next up is card using the apple image from Fruit Fusion. You will be happy to know that this little apple has a coordinating die as well. YEAH!!

Fruit_day1_2

The apples were stamped in Berry Sorbet and Pure Poppy ink. The frame around the apples is from Button Boutique. I used Background Basics: Gingham to create the strip behind the frame. The sentiment 'Love you to the core' is included in the set.

Fruit_day1_3

I thought for today I would continue with the sweet little apple image. I stamped it onto a my Fillable Frame #1 die. Again, using Background Basics: Gingham, I created a strip for behind my frame.

Fruit_day1_4

The sentiment 'You're the apple of my eye!' is also included in the set. Notice how 'apple' is stamped in red...it is separate from the rest of the sentiment.

Well, that does it for day 1. Keeping it somewhat simple for the first day but there will be A LOT more to share tomorrow. Still lots to see from.....
