Flipping Out & Heart-2-Heart #4 - Day 5

 

Welcome again for day 5 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I've truly enjoyed sharing my projects with you using Heart-2-Heart #4 and Flipping Out and very much appreciate all your comments and e-mails over the past five days. Before we get started with todays post let me recap both of these new sets...

Todays color combo...

 

Up first for today is the sweet little telephone from Heart-2-Heart #4. I die cut four of them out of the colors shown above and then added cooridinating buttons to their centers.

I stamped 'Just wanted to say' in Lavender Moon and then stamped 'HELLO' repeatedly along the bottom. I added a bit of white string to tie it all together.  

Next up is another card using Heart-2-Heart #4. For this one I started by stamping my heart dial and sentiment onto a piece of Lavender Moon cardstock. I layered that over my Hawaiian Shores card base and then stitched a strip of Simply Chartreuse below.  

I added my lace doily, my die cut phone and my sentiment, 'How are you?' to finish it.

And lastly for today is this little number using Flipping Out. I started again with my Hawaiian Shores card base and then attached a scalloped border strip along the side. Over that I added a strip of Bitty Dot paper and Lavender Moon ribbon.

After die cutting my flip flops I stamped them with the polka dot flip flop image. I die cut a couple of Simply Chartreuse straps and added pearls to those and a tiny flower to complete this one.

Flipping Out - Day 4

Welcome back for day 4 of the May Papertrey Ink countdown. I have two cards to share with you today using one of my new sets, Flipping Out. I'll have more projects for you tomorrow, the last day of the countdown, using both Heart-2-Heart #4 and Flipping Out.

**Both sets will be available starting May 15th on the Papertrey Ink website**

 

First up is a plateful of more colorful, die cut flip flops. All assembled and ready for my cards.

For this first card I started by cutting a piece of white cardstock and attaching a few of my flip flops. Next, I stamped one of the sentiments, Enjoy your vacation!, in True Black. A strip of glitter was added to the top to give it a little sparkle.

Lastly, I added some black and white plaid ribbon which I purchased right HERE and a Papertrey Ink Simply Chartreuse button.

For this second card I started by adding a strip of Lemon Tart cardstock along the side of my Kraft card base. I stamped my sentiment, Life is better in flip flops! on a strip of white cardstock and attached it to the top of my card.

My doily and flip flops were added and then some twine, more ribbon and another button.

Keeping it short and sweet for today but these ladies have projects to share so be sure to pop on over to say hi...

Flipping Out & Heart-2-Heart #4 - Day 3

 

Hello again everyone! I hope your weekend has started off to be a wonderful one. I'm back for day 3 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown and I have three more cards to share using both of my new sets, Heart-2-Heart #4 and Flipping Out. Both sets, along with their coordinating dies, will be availabe for purchase starting May 15th on the Papertrey Ink website.

Lets start with todays colors... courtesy of my lovely daughter. She is my color guru when I'm stumped and I was stumped so I asked for her help. I asked her to pick a color combo that didn't involve PINK! and this is what she chose...

 

Up first...Flipping Out! I started with my New Leaf card base and then added a piece of Bitty Dot patterned paper. I used the Rick Rack border die, a large button and of course all of the pieces to my flip flops.  

The sentiment 'I'd flip out without you!' is one of the sentiments included in the Flipping Out set.

Card #2 is another one created with Flipping Out. More Bitty Dot paper, a little glitter and another button.

'Relax and enjoy your day!' is from Flipping Out and 'sweet friend' is from Heart-2-Heart #4. Remember there are two tiny little die pieces to embellish your flip flops...a tiny flower and a tiny heart. Card #1 has the flower and this card, the heart!

 

The last card for today was created with Heart-2-Heart #4. More Bitty Dots...Hawaiian Shores scalloped border...Orange Zest ribbon...and a Hawaiian Shores button.

This sentiment comes in two pieces...'Just wanted to say' and 'Hello'. One of the things I was looking forward to doing the most with this little set is adding a cord to my phone. So many different things you could use to create it...thread, twine, string, wire etc. I'm sure there are more!

Flipping Out & Heart-2-Heart #4 - Day 2

 

Welcome back for day two of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I have a few more projects to share with you today using both Heart-2-Heart #4 and Flipping Out. I'm so thrilled to hear all of your excitement over both of these sets and hope that I can inspire you just a little bit more over the next few days.

I'm keeping it super simple for today. I'm a huge fan of stationery and notecards and thought I would focus more today on just the images and some bright, cheery summer colors. Not only are the ideas endless when it come to stamping one layer cards but they are also perfect for keeping on hand and mailing off to someone special. No bulkiness or extra postage needed!

Let's start with Heart-2-Heart #4. I stamped all of my telephones on the right side and added my sentiment on the left. 'HELLO' is one sentiment and 'sweet friend!' is another. I stamped the tiny heart, that is also in the H-2-H #4, next to my sentiment to complete it.

I didn't share the telephone die yesterday...here it is!

And here is a fun sheet of embellishments. All die cut and stamped using the Heart-2-Heart #4 images. It's a little hard to tell but there are clear circle epoxy stickers over the center hearts. They fit perfectly!

I used four of the patterned flip flops in the Flipping Out set to create these next three cards. After stamping all of the flip flops I went back over them and stamped the straps.

I mentioned yesterday that there are a total of 7 sentiments included in this set. 'Relax' and enjoy your day! is one of them.

'Take time for yourself!'

Here I flipped to a vertical card and stamped just one of the flip flops up the left side of my card.  

'Enjoy your vacation!'

Introducing Flipping Out & Heart-2-Heart #4 - Day 1

Hello everyone! It's that time again...time for another Papertrey Ink countdown. I have two new sets to share with you for the May release. A fun, summery flip flop set and the newest set in the Heart-2-Heart series.

First up...Flipping Out! I LOVE flip flops! If I could I would seriously wear them every.single.day! Not really possible when living in the Northeast and having some pretty cold winter months and lots of snow. Thankfully, we have had quite a few warm days over the past few weeks so I've been able to break them out and pack the boots and warm socks away. :)

There are a total of 6 coordinating dies in this set. Two flip flop dies, two flip flop straps, 1 tiny flower and 1 tiny heart.

When creating my projects for the monthly countdowns I always die cut extra images. So here you see I die cut and stamped four pair of flip flops, each one using a different image in the set. Stripes with a heart, flowers, thicker stripes and polka dots.

After die cutting my flip flops I also die cut a bunch of straps and flowers. I stamped the flowers with the coordinating flower image but left the straps plain. Here is a picture of them all assembled.

For card #1 I started by using the tiny flower in the set and stamped it multiple times onto a piece of Spring Moss cardstock. I attached that to the bottom of my card base and then added two strips of glitter. In between the glitter strips I stamped one of the sentiments included in the set...'Life is better in flip flops!'

I attached my flip flops to the front of my card and then added two additional die cut flowers. A few rhinestones, ribbon and a Spring Moss button complete this first one.  

Next up is a card similar to the first. I stamped the bottom again using the small flower image and then added two more strips of glitter. My flip flops are sitting on a plain circle and scalloped circle that were die cut using Spellbinders Nestabilities dies.

'Happy summer!' is another one of the sentiments in this set. A couple of rhinestones, a Sweet Blush button and some twine complete this one.

***I want to mention before we jump into the Heart-2-Heart project that the tiny heart die in the Flipping Out die collection also coordinates with the tiny hearts in Heart-2-Heart #2 & Heart-2-Heart #3 and this newest set, Heart-2-Heart #4 (and the future H-2-H sets). More bang for your stamping buck!***

Just a simple card using this newest Heart-2-Heart set for today. I just love this little telephone. I stamped that in Spring Moss and then used one of the die cut hearts and attached that to the middle of my phone. I stamped 'hello' multiple times and added a strip of Bitty Box Basics patterned paper and some twine along the top.

To finish this one I added another rhinestone and the sentiment 'How are you?'.
