Just Dandy

Hello love

Hope you are all doing well. It's been a few days since I've shared anything and thought I'd end the week with a little Valentine's card. February is here which means we are one step close to Valentine's Day and one step closer to spring! YEAH! 

To begin I started by adhering a piece of Damask Designs patterned paper to the bottom portion of my card front. Next, I added a strip of Aqua Mist cardstock that was stamped with the row of hearts from Heart-2-Heart #11. For the flower, I started by die cutting two of the flowers from the Beautiful Blooms ll #1 die collection. I stamped the larger one using the Background Basics: Inspiration stamp set. Those flowers were layered together and then I added a circle to the center that was stamped with images from Heart-2-Heart #12. I used the Flower Fusion stem die as well as one of the leave images from Heart-2-Heart #7 for my flower stem. And last but not least...the sentiment. 'Hello' is from Heart-2-Heart #4 and 'Love' is from Heart-2-Heart #11.

I know... A LOT of different sets were used BUT that is what I love about these mini sets, like Flower Fusion and Heart-2-Heart, they can all be mixed together giving you soooo many possibilities when creating! :)

Heart-2-Heart #11 - Day 2

Today I am mixing a few different stamp sets with the new Heart-2-Heart #11 set, which is available for purchase on the Papertrey Ink website now . I started with my background which was stamped using the Background Basics: Inspiration stamp set. On my white cardstock I stamped clouds from Heart-2-Heart #6 and balloon strings from Everyday Button Bits. 

I die cut my hearts, stamped each one with a patterned heart image and then attached them with dimensional adhesive to my balloon strings. Lastly, I added my sentiment. 'Love' is separate from 'is in the air' so it can be stamped alone or with other sentiments in the set.

Background Basics: Inspiration & Button Up - Day 5

Day  5 is here and I am back with one last post before the big Papertrey Ink release. I have truly enjoyed sharing all of my projects with you over the past five days and hope that I have inspired you just a bit with these three new sets. And as always, I have loved hearing from you and appreciate all of your excitement and kind comments. 

So before we get into todays projects how about a little recap of all 3 sets...

Up first for today is a card featuring one of the background strips in BB: Inspiration as well as a flower with a Button Up button in the center. The flowers were die cut using the Beautiful Blooms ll #1 die collection. The pink flower was stamped with the same background image as the card and then the smaller flower and die cut button were added.  

  

To finish it off I added two strips of glitter as well as a couple of die cut leaves from the Sending You die collection.  

 

Next up is a sweet baby card with images from Button Up and Sweet Baby. My sentiment and giraffe were placed onto a die cut frame cut from the Fillable Frames #4 die.   

 

I stamped all of my buttons along the bottom, added my frame to my card front and lastly added the flower, button and leaves. The leaves were die cut from the Flower Fusion stem/leave die and stamped with Flower Fusion #12.

 Lastly for today I have a Christmas card created with the Christmas Tree die .  I stamped the BB: Inspiration once again on my tree and then added two die cut buttons. The sentiment is from Holiday Button Bits.

Heart-2-Heart #10 & Background Basics: Inspiration - Day 4

Here we are again for another day of projects and release countdown fun. After yesterdays long post I thought maybe I should make it short and sweet for today so I have only one card to share with you! ;)

I used Background Basics: Inspiration and started by stamping one of the block images onto my card front. Berry Sorbet, Sweet Blush and Ripe Avocado were the colors I used for this card. I die cut a few butterflies from Heart-2-Heart #10, stamped them and added them to my card. I gave the two smaller butterflies a slight bend by scoring them down the middle and gently bending them in half.

 

A strip of Bitty Box patterned paper was added down the side of my card, a strip of white ribbon, a strip of lace and lastly a couple of pearls to the centers of my butterflies. And voila...it's complete!

Heart-2-Heart #10, Background Basics: Inspiration & Button Up - Day 3

 

Welcome back for day 3 of the Papertrey Ink release countdown. I have quite a lot to share with you today so I'm going to jump right into todays projects! I hope you have a nice hot cup of coffee or tea ready.  :)

It's been quite awhile since I posted any new color combos so I thought it might be nice to start doing that again. Here is a new one for today...

 

Up first is a mini 3.5 x 5 card created with the Heart-2-Heart #10 and Button Up stamps and dies along with the new Background Basics: Inspiration Impression plate. I started by stamping my butterflies onto white cardstock in the colors above. Instead of cutting half of my larger butterfly off I decided to trim around it and leave it hanging over the edge of my card. I added my antennaes to each one, the two smaller ones were stamped and the larger one was die cut. I die cut a button, stamped it with one of the Button Up button images and attached it with a bit of Summer Sunrise ribbon. My sentiment, 'Hello sweet friend!', is from Heart-2-Heart #4. 

And here is the bottom of my card. I used the impression plate to emboss the bottom. The words read...love inspire smile believe dream create treasure hope pray.  

For card #2 I started by stamping my Kraft card base with one of the the Background Basics: Inspiration images. As you can see there are quite a few inspiring words...

• believe in yourself
• have faith
• have fun
• don't give up
• inspire others
• be happy
• count your blessings
• laugh til you cry
• be you
• think positive

These are just a few of the many inspirational quotes and sayings in this image!

After stamping the background I moved on to my other pieces. I added a scalloped white border along the side... a strip of Bitty Dots patterned paper...

and lastly my ruffled fabric and polka dot ribbon.

Card #3 was super simple and fun to create. I die cut two flowers using the Beautiful Blooms ll #1 die collection and stamped the smaller flower with one of the block inspiration images. I layered them together and then added one of my die cut buttons from Button Up. My sentiment is from Heart-2-Heart #2.

 
And the flower stem and leaves were die cut and stamped with the Flower Fusion #10.

And last but not least is this cute as a button card.  My sentiment is from Baby Button Bits. All of the buttons were die cut using the Buttoned Up #1 die collection. The were all stamped with one of the images from Button Up and then attached to my white piece of cardstock.

The white background was embossed using the Background Basics: Inspiration impression plate. Lastly, another one of the die cut butterflies was added!

Hello again everyone! I'm back for day two of the Papertrey Ink countdown for November and I have a cute little project to share with you using the next set in the Heart-2-Heart series and also a new background set, Background Basics: Inspiration. Here are the details on both of these sets...

Let's get started...

First up is a plateful for butterfly cuteness! Plum Pudding, Hawaiian Shores, Orange Zest and Lemon Tart were the colors I chose to work with for today. 

I don't know about you but now that Halloween is over and Thanksgiving is not to far away, I have been in full Christmas mode. I've been making lists, preparing for holiday meals, planning for our holiday parties and making handmade Christmas gifts. Included in the gift giving this year I thought I could make a few sets of little notecards to tuck into gift bags and packages for all of the women in my life. That's what I did for today...and you just *might* see more later on in the countdown! ;)

Keeping them very simple again...nothing too frilly or fancy and simple for mailing. I stamped all of the backgrounds using one of the background images in the Background Basics: Inspiration set...this one is the subway art image.  

I kinda love making cards like this where each card features all of the colors I'm using but in different places.

Imagine how many color combos you could use for a card set like this! :)

I didn't create these with any specific occasion in mind.... just little notecards with inspiring words to brighten someones day! :) 

To package each set up I used a glassine bag, trimmed the top with pinking shears, sewed the sides and then trimmed the sides with pinking shears again. I wrapped some white thread around, added a doily and two more of my die cut butterflies. Notice how the small one is sitting on top of the larger...just another way you can use these. Also, you could stamp the small butterfly image inside the larger die cut butterfly,  for just one more way to create with these images. I'll share more on that in tomorrows post!
