Happy Saturday everyone!
I'm back for day 3 of Papertrey Ink's January countdown and have a few more cards for you using the newest little addition to the Heart-2-Heart series. Heart-2-Heart #12 will be available starting January 15th on the Papertrey Ink website. Let's jump right in to todays post...
Todays colors...
I hope you don't mind more pretty, flowery cards. :) For this first one (and the second one below) I created two felt flowers out of Hibiscus and Harvest Gold felt. I created flowers similar to these awhile back...HERE is the link so you can see exactly how I made them. The only difference is that I used Beautiful Blooms ll #2 flower die instead of the flowers from Flower Fusion.
I used the flower stem and sentiment, from Heart-2-Heart #12, along with the stitched image, from Sew Simple Borders, to create my border along the bottom and top of my white cardstock. My flower center was created with the Buttoned Up #1 die and the Button Up stamp set.
For this second card I just mixed my colors around and used the second sentiment in the set.
Before I get to todays last card I thought I'd explain how it all came to be. As a Mom I have a lot of little nicknames for my kids and 'Love' just happens to be one of them. 'Have a great day, Love'...'Hello, Love'...'How are you, Love?'...I use it so much that every now and then my daughter will turn around and use that term of endearment on me! The only thing is that she uses her best British accent when saying it! LOL! Makes me smile every.single.time! So, I thought it was only fitting that I create a little card for her, Keep smiling love, and leave it on her nightstand so she would find it one day when she gets home from school.
I started with a Kraft cardbase and stamped the dotted circle/flower image along the left side and bottom of my card. I filled every other circle using the heart image. Next, I stamped 'Keep smiling!' in Aqua Mist onto my white cardstock and also a stitched border using the Sew Simple Border set. I die cut letters using the Block Alphabet Upper die set. I made another flower, just like the one above, and attached that as my 'O' in 'LOVE'. Lastly, I added a die cut flower stem and a bit of Aqua Mist ribbon up in the corner.
Well my friends, that's a wrap for me today. Thank you for stopping by to take a peek of what I had to share. I hope you enjoyed! Before you go be sure and stop by and say hello to these ladies...
Have a wonderful day!
~Melissa

Thanks for sharing your "love" story! The stems are so sweet with the large flowers - a very nice proportion with large or small. I'm eager to start using them!
