Mint Motif - A friend like you

Hi there everyone! I hope that your week has started off nicely. It has been absolutely BEAUTIFUL here the past couple of days. Sun is shining...no clouds in the sky...temps in the low 70's. Just perfect!

I thought I would pop on this morning and share a card with you using the newest sets from Mint Motif....Beyond Borders Too and Simply Sentiments! Both are available exclusively through i {heart} papers!

I started by stamping the bottom of my white card base using one of the four background strips in the Beyond Borders Too set. I added a strip of Kraft above that and a strip of glitter. I had a few pieces of pink polka dot fabric hanging around and cut a bunch of petals out of them. I sewed them all together attaching a turquoise button and a couple of Prima leaves.

'Happiness is having a friend like you'. LOVE this little sentiment from Simply Sentiments! Where would we be without good friends?! Mine sure do bring me lots of happiness!!

Back Pocket Basics, World's Greatest & Heart-2-Heart #2 - Day 5

Happy Wednesday everyone! Welcome to the final day of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. All of the new stamp sets and products you have been seeing will be available for purchase on the Papertrey Ink website starting at 10PM on the 15th.

I have a few more projects to share with you today using my three  latest sets...Back Pocket Basics, World's Greatest and Heart-2-Heart #2.

I have another bright and cheery color combo for you today. Can you tell I'm ready for summer! :)

 

To start todays projects I die cut a bunch of different images from all three sets. I always die cut extras and whatever I don't use will be added to my stash of images from previous releases.

 

For card #1 I stamped the large double heart image that is part of Back Pocket Basics onto Raspberry Fizz cardstock. I added glitter to my Summer Sunrise hearts and attached those with dimensional adhesive and then added my other elements. A rick rack border strip, Summer Sunrise ribbon and the 'love' tag, which is part of Back Pocket Basics. The bottom part of my card was stamped with Background Basics: Geometrics.

My sentiment, 'sending you lots of love', is from Sending You.  

Next up, Heart-2-Heart #2! The bottom portion of the Orange Zest cardstock was embossed using the Polka Dot Basics ll impression plate.

I popped up my balloons using dimensional adhesive and then added my sentiment, glitter and wrinkle fabric.

Here is another card featuring some of the images in Back Pocket Basics. I used the trio of small flowers and stamped them along the bottom of my Ripe Acocado cardtock and then added my other pieces.

More wrinkle fabric, glitter and a few pearls!

And last up for today is a super simple card using the tie images in World's Greatest. No pink on this one! There are 7 ties total in this set. This particular card uses the circles, stars and DAD! 

I used the Polka Dot Basics ll impression plate once again and also added the negative strip from the rick rack border I created on the first card. Lastly, I added my sentiment and some twine.

Back Pocket Basics, World's Greatest & Heart-2-Heart #2 - Day 4

Welcome back everyone for day 4 of the March Papertrey Ink countdown. I have a lot to share with you today so I'm going to jump right in.

Up first is this card using a few of the images from Back Pocket Basics. There is a small trio of posies included in the set that I stamped around the border of the Summer Sunrise & Hawaiian Shores cardstock. I also used the tiny tag die that is part of the Back Pocket Basics die collection and stamped the coorinating 'sunshine' image on the inside and then attached it along the side of my card. 

I just adore this sweet little sun image. It is 3 different images...a solid sun, a outlined & dotted sun and the little smiley face. To create my cheeks I used one of the solid circles from Tree Tops and stamped it in Sweet Blush. To finish it I stamped 'Sending you a pocketful of sunshine' in Dark Chocolate ink.

'Happy Birthday Sunshine' is up next. I created another sweet sun image and used it along with the pocket from Back Pocket Basics. I stamped SUNSHINE on the bottom part of my card using Hawaiian Shores ink. 

I stamped 'Happy Birthday', from Heart-2-Heart #2, in Pure Poppy ink and then added some red string and a tiny pink flower to finish it.  

Next up is World's Greatest. For this card I stamped the large 'WORLD'S Greatest' in Dark Chocolate and then added my tie below that I die cut using the coordinating World's Greatest die.

Grandpa is one of the many masculine images in the set. That was stamped in Dark Chocolate and then a Pure Poppy button and twine were added to this one. 

For this one I started by die cutting a piece of white cardstock using the Button Card die. I added a piece of polka dot paper along the side and then added my balloons. Those were all die cut with the Heart-2-Heart #2 balloon die.  

I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' repeatedly on the Summer Sunrise cardstock. A Sweet Blush bow and doily completes this one!

More Heart-2-Heart #2 on this one. The hearts on the balloons were all die cut using the Love Lives Here die collection.

Another Sweet Blush bow, glitter and a few pearls are the finishing touch. 

And last up for today is this little baby card. These balloons fit so well with SO many different stamp images. I love it when you can use different sets together!!

Introducing World's Greatest - Day 3

Hello again! Day 3 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown is here and I'm going to be sharing a couple of projects with you using my last set being released this month...World's Greatest. This set is geared towards all of the amazing and wonderful men in our lives and features a variety of cute tie images and sentiments. Here is the run down on this set...

World's Greatest

And here is a new color combo...

Card #1...how could I resist creating a shirt card with this new tie image. Not only did I use the tie image from World's Greatest but also the pocket from Back Pocket Basics.

I used the coordinating tie die and stamped the outlined tie image inside. I also used the coordinating Back Pocket Basics pocket die and stamped the outlined pocket image in that and then added my sentiment across. 'to the best' is a separate image from 'DAD'. A few buttons and posies from Back Pocket Basics were added to complete this first one.

Up next is this super clean and simple card. I die cut a few ties and then stamped each one with a different tie image...vertical stripes, outlined and horizontal stripes. 

I added another one of the sentiments included in the set, 'Happy Father's Day', and then added a dark chocolate button to complete it.

Introducing Heart-2-Heart # 2 - Day 2

Happy Sunday everyone and welcome to day 2 of the Papertrey Ink March countdown. I was thrilled to read all of your comments and e-mails yesterday regarding Back Pocket Basics. I have to say that this set is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite sets that I have designed. I'll be sharing more of that set as well as World's Greatest over the next 3 days.

But for today I am going to share the next set in the Heart-2-Heart series...Heart-2-Heart #2. This set has sweet little balloon images and is geared towards birthdays! Here are the details...

 

Heart-2-Heart #2 

• features 9 images - 3 balloons, 3 balloon strings, a single heart and 2 sentiments

It's been quite some time since I have used the Polka Dot Parade paper collection and decided that it would be perfect for today. I used the coordinating Heart-2-Heart #2 balloon die to create all of my balloons. Each one was stamped with a different balloon image from the set....a heart, swirls and a funky box pattern.

There are 3 balloon string images included in this set but for this card I chose to use some rustic twine. You could use so many different things...twine, floss, string, thin ribbon etc.

'Happy Birthday' is one of the two sentiments in the set. Don't you just love that font!? To finish this card I added a strip of glitter and a bow to my balloon strings. 

Up next is this super frilly card that includes some of my favorite things...doilies, pearls and ribbon!! 

I die cut another balloon out of Berry Sorbet cardstock, stamped it with the heart balloon image and adhered it over my swirly balloon string. 'Today is all about celebrating you!' is the second sentiment included in the set.  

And last but certainly not least is this sweet and simple card. It was hard to get a good, crisp shot of the sentiments but you get the idea. Using Sweet Blush, Berry Sorbet and Ripe Avocado ink I stamped 'Happy Birthday' one on top of the other.

 

How about a big gingham bow and a couple of Prima flowers to finish it off!!

Introducing Back Pocket Basics - Day 1

Hello everyone and welcome to day 1 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I have three new sets coming out this month but thought I would take today and share projects with just one of them. Up first...Back Pocket Basics. Here are the details...

 

Back Pocket Basics:

It's been a little while since I've posted a new color combo.

For this first card I used 3 of the coordinating Back Pocket Basics dies...the pocket, the tab and the flowers. I stamped the dashed pocket image onto the pocket image that I die cut out of Bitty Box Basics patterned paper. The flowers were stamped inside the coordinating flower die and colored in with Copic markers. If you would rather not color them in there is also a solid flower image that can be stamped inside!

The 'posie' tab was stamped in Pure Poppy ink and then attached to the side of my pocket. Onto the sentiment...'Sending you a pocketful of' is one stamp and there are 4 additional words that can be added to the end...posie is one of them. To finsh it I added a bit of twine and a few pearls to my posie centers.

Next up is this card I created by just using the posie image. I stamped them across my cardstock in Dark Chocolate and then colored them in again with Copics.

'Birthday wishes' is another sentiment included in the set. This is perfect for using all by itself or with the 'Sending you a pocketful of' sentiment. To finish this card I added more pearls and twine. 

And last up for today is this card featuring the heart image in the Back Pocket Basics set. There is an outlined heart image as well as a solid heart image. There is also a coordinating heart die that I used for this card. After die cutting two out of Pure Poppy and Summer Sunrise cardstock, I stamped the inside with the outlined heart image.

I added the 'love' tab to the side of the pocket, added a strip of glitter and trimmed the edge of my card with pinking shears to complete it.
