Flower Fusion #11, Tree Tops & Little Princess - Day 5

Welcome back everyone for the final day of the Papertrey Ink release countdown. All of the fun festivities will begin tomorrow morning, December 15th, at 7am where you will finally be able to view all of the newest Papertrey goodies, including my three newest sets...Flower Fusion #11, Tree Tops and Little Princess. I have a few more projects for you today using all three sets. I hope I've inspired you just a little and shown you just how many possibilites they all have.

Before we get started here is a recap on all three sets...

Flower Fusion #11:

The color combo for today is the same one from Day 1 of the countdown. I made quite a few projects but never did share them all so I figured I would share them with you today.

Up first...Little Princess. I used more Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper (yes, I am addicted to the stuff ;). I layered Lemon Tart and Hibiscus over that and machine stitched around the border.

My castle was die cut out of Hibiscus and then stamped with the outlined castle image from the set. I added glitter to the tower tops and a flag and then layered it over a couple of circle Nestabilities.

'For my Princess' is one of the many sentiments you can create with Little Princess. That was stamped in Hibiscus onto a Double Ended Banner die.

Up next...Tree Tops. I stitched more Bitty Dot Basics and then die cut Lemon Tart cardstock using the Leafy Vine Border die. I used the Tree Tops die and stamped the trunk in Dark Chocolate and circles in Hibiscus. Twine and a button were added at the end.

For my last projects I die cut a bunch of tulips using the Flower Fusion #11 die. They were all stamped in their matching colors using the outlined tulip image.

These cards are exactly the same as the first card on day 1, the colors are just mixed up. I ended up making a complete set of them...perfect for just saying hello to my sweet friends every once in awhile!

Flower Fusion #11 & Tree Tops - Day 4

Welcome back for day four of the Papertrey Ink December countdown. Flower Fusion #11, Tree Tops and Little Princess will all be available starting December 15th on the Papertrey Ink website.

Let's jump right into todays post, shall we!?

Quite a few of you have mentioned that you enjoy my color combinations so I'm going to continue adding them until you guys get tired of seeing them. ;)

 

Up first is this cheery card using Flower Fusion #11. I started by covering my card base with 2008 Bitty Box Basics patterned paper. I then stitched a piece of Kraft and white cardstock over that.

 

My flower was created by using the Flower Fusion #11 tulip die. I die cut four of them and adhered them around my button. I also die cut two of the Flower Fusion stem/leaves and attached one over the other and added a string of pearls.

'Hello friend' is from Think Big Favorites #3.

Up next is another card using Flower Fusion #11. I used a piece of patterned paper from the Distressed Dots collection and adhered that over my Kraft card base.  I stamped both my sentiment, from Think Big Favorites #4,  and my stem/leave image in black ink. I die cut my tulip out of Hawaiian Shores cardstock and then stamped the inside with the solid tulip image in the FF #11 set. I added a few pearls, ribbon and a border along the bottom that was created using the Edgers #1 die. 

This was a fun little card to create. The circle was die cut using my Spellbinders Nestability circle die. I stamped my four Berry Sorbet tulips first and then stamped the two other colors making it easier to space them just right.

'thinking of you' is from Borders & Corners (circle). Pearls were added around the sentiment and that was layered over a scalloped circle Nestability.

 

How about a couple of cards using Tree Tops! I used the die from the Button Card collection as a base for my tree. After die cutting it I used the lined image from Background Basics: Retro and stamped it twice on the bottom of the button card...leaving room between the two for my sentiment. 'Thinking of you' is from Flower Fusion #7.  My tree was die cut using the Tree Tops die and then stamped with the trunk and outlined circle tree top image. I added a little glitter randomly to some of the circles, a strip of ribbon and a doily to complete it.  

This card is pretty much the same as the one above...just flipped. 'Hello, friend!' is one of the new sentiments in Flower Fusion #11.

Introducing Little Princess - Day 3

Happy Monday everyone!  Here we are on day three of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. Today I have a few cards to share with you using my last set being released this month...Little Princess!  Nichole and Melissa both created projects using that set yesterday and they were simply amazing. It's always such a joy for me to see what the design teams creates with my sets. :)

 Before we get to far into todays post let me give you the details on Little Princess....

Little Princess:

Only two colors for today...

Perfect princess colors, don't ya think!

For card #1 I started by die cutting my castle using white cardstock. Next, I stamped the outlined castle image in black ink and then went back and stamped the solid image in Lavender Moon ink. Using the two hearts in the set I stamped the hearts in the towers with Hibiscus ink. The patterned paper I used on all three cards is a piece I had in my stash. I'm pretty sure it is from Me & My Big Ideas. I did a little paper piecing and stamped the outlined castle onto a piece of the patterned paper and then cut the tops of the towers out and attached them over my die cut image. The die cut flags were stamped with the flag image that is in the set.

I used one of the dies from the Half & Half collection as the base for my sentiment. There are two 'princess' images in the set...this is the larger of the two. I stamped that in Hibiscus and then stamped the separate image,  'My little', above it.

I used the Classic Spellbinders Nestability die to create the circle on this next card. That was layered over a lace doily and then my castle was adhered over that. For this castle I die cut it out of Lavender Moon cardstock and then stamped the outlined castle in Hibiscus ink. This time I used Copic markers to color in my hearts and tower tops.  

I added a little glitter to the tops of my towers and a few rhinestones. The sentiment 'Sweet girl' is from Sweet Baby.

Lastly for today is this card. I did quite a bit of paper piecing on this one.  I colored my tower tops and door with a light grey Copic marker. Lots of glitter was added which is perfect for a Princess card!

'Happy Birthday' is another one of the sentiments that is part of Little Princess!  It may be hard for you to tell but I carefully trimmed around the door with a xacto knife and gave it a slight bend to make it look like it was ajar.

Introducing Tree Tops - Day 2

Hello again! Welcome back for day two of the December Papertrey Ink countdown. I was so happy to read your comments and e-mails yesterday about the newest addition to the Flower Fusion series. I'm thrilled that the little tulip will be a welcome addition in your craft room and can't wait to see all of your creations around the web. I'll have more projects using that set later in the week. For today I will be sharing another stamp set I have coming out this month....Tree Tops!  I gave you a little peek of one of my projects in yesterdays post.

Tree Tops:

I have a couple of masculine cards for you today using the following color combo....

 

 

Up first is a really simple card. I started with a piece of Kraft cardstock and stamped my trees in the colors shown above. This one was stamped using the star tree top.

My sentiment, from Asian Fusion, was stamped on a circle punched out with my 1.75" circle punch. I used my paper piercer and went around, poked holes and then went back around and stitched it with twine. I added a Double Ended Banner underneath and a button to finish it.

For this one I used Bitty Box Basics patterned paper and adhered two strips on the bottom of my card. I machine stitched and then added my twine and button. The sentiment is from Make A Wish. I die cut my tree out of white cardstock and then stamped my tree trunk and the outlined tree top. The great thing about this set is that you have so many options when creating with it. On this card I chose to use Copic markers and color my circles in but you could also use one of the 4 patterned circles to stamp inside or you could stamp one or more of the single images. You could leave it empty...you could add glitter...rhinestones...etc etc etc!! Lots of options.

I couldn't very well just make masculine cards for today so I have another color combo and two feminine cards for you. This color combo is pretty similar to the one above....I just replaced the New Leaf with Pure Poppy.

I used Bitty Dot Basics and Bitty Box Basics to die cut my trees for this card. The bottom of my card was embossed using the Polka Dot Basics ll Impression Plate. The sentiment, from Love Lives Here, was stamped in Pure Poppy and red twine was added to the bottom. The hearts were die cut using the Love Lives Here die set.

I used another one of the patterned tree tops for this card. Love these little hearts! Another great thing about this set...it can be used with sooooo many different sentiments. I used 'I love you!' from Flower Fusion #6 on this card. You could also use this heart tree with sentiments from other sets like....Heart Prints, Love Songs, Simple Valentine and so many more.

Introducing Flower Fusion #11 - Day 1

Hello everyone and welcome to day one of this months Papertrey Ink countdown.  I have three new sets to share with you this month and LOTS of projects using each one....I hope you are ready! :) Each set will be available starting December 15th.

I'm going to start today by sharing the next set in the Flower Fusion series. This set features a sweet little tulip!

Flower Fusion #11:

Colors for todays projects...

I don't often make altered gifts but thought it would be kind of fun to try something out of the ordinary for me. This was so inexpensive to make and super fun. All I needed was a $.16 square tile from Home Depot....the rest of the materials I already had on hand.  I bought a whole case of tiles for around $12 so I would have them when I needed them.  The very first thing I did was stamp my sentiment, from In Bloom, onto the Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper. Next, I brushed Mod Podge over the front of my tile and then placed my patterened paper over that. I brushed another layer of Mod Podge over the top. I wanted to be sure that the paper was going to stay in place and there would be no chance of the edges tearing. I then went and added all of my other elements....die cut Hibiscus felt tulips, Simply Chartreuse stem/leaves, lace, Hibiscus Burst button, twine and a strip of Spring Rain cardstock.  A hot glue gun works perfectly for projects like this.

The altered tile could be displayed just as it is above, in a small easel or it could also be hung on a wall simply by attaching ribbon behind the tile.

I placed the tile in a glassine bag and then decorated the outside. For both the card and bag I added  Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper . For the base my tulips are sitting on I used Spellbinders Classic Oval and Scalloped Oval Nestabilities. I die cut my tulips using the coordinating Flower Fusion #11 die (available December 15th) and then stamped it with the outlined tulip image included in the set. The stem/leaves and dots were stamped in Spring Moss ink.

'My sweet friend' is one of the three sentiments in the set and 'Happy Birthday to you' is from Flower Fusion #9.

Up last for today is this little number. One of the three tulips included in the set features stripes just like the leaves. 'You make my life blossom' is another one of the sentiments!  A bit of Lemon Tart ribbon, twine, a doily and a Hibiscus button complete this one.
