Flower Fusion #7 - Day 5

Welcome sweet friends to the final day of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. Thank you all for sharing your enthusiasm with me over my newest Flower Fusion set. I always love to see what you all create with this series and can't wait to see all the projects used with this newest addition! :)

Here is a little recap for you before we get started with todays post...

So here is our color combo for today...

 

Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest & Kraft. You all know that my favorite cards to create are any that include flowers! And the great thing about flower sets is that they pretty much can all be used with one another. So for today I reached back and pulled out one of Papertrey's first floral sets....Beautiful Blooms. I fell in love with this set the first time I saw it and still find myself using it quite a bit. I stamped the large outlined flower onto a few different pieces of cardstock and Bitty Dot Basics patterned paper and then trimmed them out. I also created a few flowers from Flower Fusion #7 to use along with those.

 

The background paper on this first card is from Dotti Biscotti. 'Thinking of you' is from the newest addition to the Think Big Favorites collections (which will be available along with all of the other goodies starting tonight at 12AM EST). All of the sentiments from this new set are from Asian Fusion.

 

I stamped a few leaves from Flower Fusion #7 onto New Leaf cardstock and trimmed them out and adhered them randomly around my flowers. The buttons are from the white and cream mix.

 

I created this second card similar to the first...just a different layout. 'Wishing you well' is another one of the newest sentiments from Think Big Favorites.

 

There you have it...two crisp, clean, summer-y cards to finish this Flower Fusion #7 & Think Big Favorites #7 countdown. I hope you've enjoyed everything you've seen over the past 5 days. The release party starts at 10PM on the PTI forum...looking forward to chatting with you all! :)

Flower Fusion #7 - Day 4

Hello everyone and welcome to day 4 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I'm so happy to hear you are enjoying the newest addition to the Flower Fusion collection. I have a set of tags to share with you today using not only Flower Fusion #7 but also the other flowers and sentiments in the series.

 Let's not waste any time and get straight to todays post....

 

I started by running all of the Flower Fusion dies (#'s 1-7) through my die maching with the following Papertrey colors....Berry Sorbet, Pure Poppy, Aqua Mist, Sweet Blush and Hawaiian Shores. I then went through them all and stamped them in Pure Poppy ink with their coordinating stamp image.

 

I used my Marvy tag punch to create the tags. I didn't end up using all of the flowers but plan on using the leftover ones in the future. I love running extras through my die machine so I have them for those last minute cards when I don't have a lot of time to do the whole die cutting thing. :)

Flower Fusion #7 - Day 3

Hey there friends! How are you all doing today? We are mid way through the Papertrey Ink countdown for this month and I have more goodies to share with you. Flower Fusion#7, along with all of the other new stamp sets you've been seeing, will be available for purchase on the Papertrey Ink website starting August 15th.

For today I thought it would be fun to make a set of birthday cards using some bright and cheery colors and a few different Papertrey Ink dies. You will see Flower Fusion #7 here and there on these cards and also one of the sentiments from the new addition to Think Big Favorites...Birthday Wishes!

I used Kraft as the base for each of the cards and then embellished with Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores and Simply Chartreuse.

Here is a close up shot of all the dies used on these cards!

 

 

And in this next photo I noted the name of the die and which stamp set it coordinates with. 

 

A few other things I used on each of these cards....Funky Town patterned paper and lots of glitter!!  

 

Card #1...I stamped the solid flower from Flower Fusion #7 in the center of the Beautiful Blooms ll #1 flower die.

 

Card #2...The created the pillow by stamping the small solid flower in the set onto a piece of Raspberry Fizz cardstock and then punched it out with a circle punch.

 

Card #3...The flower on the teapot was made with Hawaiian Shores felt and the coordinating Flower Fusion #7 die. I scrunched it up a bit and then added a rhinestone to the center.

 

Card #4...The butterfly antennae is from Little Lady. The body of the butterfly was trimmed out of Hawaiian Shores felt.

    

Card #5...On the smaller gift box I stamped the large outlined flower. 

 

Card #6...The small outlined flower was stamped over the gift box on this card.

Flower Fusion #7 - Day 2

Welcome everyone to day two of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. I'm so happy you all stopped by. I have four more cards for you today using my newest set being released....Flower Fusion #7. I have to say it feels sooooo good to get back into my crafty zone again. After last months release I took a bit of time off to just 'be'...no deadlines, no stamping...just enjoying my kids while they are home on vacation. I also had one of my very best friends come for a visit which was wonderful. She was here for 10 days and I enjoyed every moment of our time together. It went by way to fast....always does when you are having fun, doesn't it?!

Onto today's projects! Todays color combo....Melon Berry, Spring Moss, Blueberry Sky, Spring Rain and Fine Linen.

  

For card #1 I started by trimming a piece of Vintage Cream cardstock to 3.5 x 4.75". Next, I stamped the stem and leave image from Flower Fusion #7 in Spring Moss ink along the side. Using the smaller solid flower included in the set I filled in the empty space between the leaves in Melon Berry ink. 'I'm here if you need me' is one of the sentiments in the set. That was stamped in the center of the wreath image from Tag It's #3.

    

Card #2...I used the flower die on this next card and the larger outline stamp image along with the smaller solid image. 'Thanks for making me smile!' is from Flower Fusion #3.

 

Card #3...I turned my leaves and stem sideways this time for a little something different. The flowers were created out of Melon Berry and Blueberry Sky felt. The Melon Berry flower was made with the medium sized flower die from Beautiful Blooms ll #2. Both flowers were cut just like I did in yesterdays post HERE! 'Happy Birthday' is from Birthday Basics and 'I love you' is from Flower Fusion #6.

  

Card #4...more felt flowers on this last card. I used an oval Nestability as a base for my sentiment and flowers to sit on. 'Merci' is from Think Big Favorites #3.

Introducing Flower Fusion #7 - Day 1

Well hello everyone! Welcome to the first day of Papertrey Ink's August release countdown. I'm excited to share the next stamp set in the Flower Fusion series and also some new sentiments in the Think Big Favorites series. Fun, fun stuff!! 

Flower Fusion #7:

I'm using the same color combo on all three cards I have to share with you today! Raspberry Fizz, Aqua Mist and Ripe Avacado!

 

 For card #1 I started by using a few different Papertrey Ink stamp sets....Button Boutique, Sending You & Green Thumb. I used the Button Boutique die to create a frame for my flowers to sit on. Next, I stamped the flower pot from Green Thumb onto a piece of white cardstock and trimmed it out. I adhered that over my Button Boutique card and then used the Flower Fusion #7 flower die to create my flowers. They were stamped with the outline flower image in the set. After stamping them I cut down the side of each of the petals so that I could bend them and give them a bit more dimension. The green felt flowers underneath the pink ones are some I have had for a while now....I believe they are from American Crafts.

 

The leaves and sentiment are both from Sending You. And the pink polka dot paper is from the Funky Town collection.

 

For this next card I started with a piece of Aqua Mist Bitty Box patterned paper. I attached that over my white card and stitched around the edges. I then took my pinking shears and trimmed along the outer edges of the card. The oval base for my flower was made with an oval Nestability. I created this flower similar to the one in the first card but didn't cut the petals. 'Thinking of you' & 'I'm here if you need me' are both part of the Flower Fusion #7 set.

 

And for todays last card I kept it pretty clean and simple. I stamped the stem and leaves across the bottom of my card using black ink. Using the flower die again I created all my flowers and stamped each one using the solid flower image in the set. Black brads were added for the flower centers. 'Wishing you well' is from Asian Fusion and is one of the sentiments in the new Think Big Favorites set.

 

That wraps up day 1 for me but there is still more to see from these ladies....
