Hi everyone! Here we are on day 2 of this months Papertrey Ink countdown. Thank you all for your comments and e-mails yesterday. I'm thrilled that you like what you've seen of Sweet As Can Be. It really is just a sweet and fun set to create with. I'll have more projects using that set later this week. I thought for today I would share a few cards using my new addition to the Flower Fusion collection...Flower Fusion #6. This set features a sweet layered flower and fun plaid patterned leaves.
Flower Fusion #6
- features 8 images - 2 flowers, 1 flower center, 1 stem/leave image, 4 sentiments
- will retail for $5
- will be available for purchase starting July 15th on the Papertrey Ink website
- has a coordinating flower die
I'm so excited for this months release not only for the release of Sweet As Can Be, Flower Fusion #6 and Hanging out but also for the release of my new patterned paper collection....FUNKY TOWN!! You all got a peek of this on Nichole's blog yesterday. The colors in the collection are Raspberry Fizz, Hawaiian Shores, Simple Chartreuse and Aqua Mist! So bright and cheery and definitely my favorite colors to use together!!
For this first card I used the 3 polka dot sheets from Funky Town and cut each one in a 1.5" X 4.25" strip. I adhered those across my card front and then zig zag stitched. I used the frame die & stamp image from Sending You to create the base for my sentiment and flower. 'From me to you...' was stamped in True Black ink. I used some Hawaiian Shores felt and the Flower Fusion #6 die to create my flower. The stem and leaves were stamped on Simply Chartreuse cardstock and then I just trimmed out the leaves and attached them to my flower.
I used the left over pieces of patterned paper from the strips I cut in the card above to create this next card. I did some zig zag stitching once again and then attached the polka dot paper to my white card base with foam adhesive. The strip of white cardstock was stamped with one of the sentiments from Think Big Favorites #3 and the stem/leave image from Flower Fusion #6. The larger Raspberry Fizz flower was created with the Beautiful Blooms #2 die. I layered another Hawaiian Shores felt flower over that and then finished it with a Simply Chartreuse button.
Lastly for today is a card I created with some left overs I had laying around in my stash. The large white rectangle was created with the Button Card collection die. I stamped my stem/leaves in Simply Chartreuse and then created my flower using the Flower Fusion #6 die and Raspberry Fizz cardstock. The flower was stamped with the outlined flower image that is included in the set.
When I created this set for the Flower Fusion series I thought I'd make the sentiments so they would allow you to carry them over to the inside of your card. That's what I did here. 'I thank you' is one of the sentiments in the set. And 'From me to you...' can be used with almost ALL of the other Flower Fusion sets that have been released so far.
From me to you...
- Have a wonderful day! (#1)

I LOVE your Funky Town paper. Those four colors are my absolute favorite PTI shades. They are so colorful and well, just happy colors. Aqua Mist has been a favorite of mind since Day 1.
Thanks for sharing your cards. That "From me to you" list is very helpful.

Melissa, that Funky Town paper is FAB!!! Love
the colors and patterns. Your Flower Fusion
#6 is also great. Like the idea of "in and
out" sentiments on cards. And, you're still
using pink and green. Keep up the great work.

Hi Melissa, I commented on this post yesterday but I must have messed up on the security letters because I see its not there. I posed a question and went back to look for it today. Oops. I just love all of these papers, I have been so happy with my Fruit Fusion papers. My question for you is that your own handwriting font in your stamp sets or is it an actual font. Spectacular.
Thanks, Tracey
