Mint Motif - Two Hearts, One Love

Well hello, all my stamping friends! I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. The holidays sure did sneak up quickly, didn't they? I have some of my Christmas shopping done and am hoping to finish the rest of it up over the next week. As for my Christmas cards....I haven't even started them yet. YIKES! I'm hoping to squeeze some time in today to get those started. How about you? Are yours finished?

  

How about a Mint Motif card today! I used What A Card! (which is on sale right now) for this and lots of bling. Can never have enough bling, right? I started by stamping my poker chip background on white cardstock and then adhered it on my Kraft card front. I stamped my hearts using Hibiscus Burst ink from Papertrey Ink and then carefully cut them out and attached them to the front with dimensional adhesive. The rhinestones are from ZVA Creative and were added to my card and then colored with a brown Copic marker. To finish it I stamped my greeting, added a strip of Hibiscus Burst cardstock and Spring Moss ribbon.

Mint Motif - Happy Birthday

Hi everyone! I have another fun Mint Motif card for you today. This card uses both sets....What A Card! and I've Got Your Number...both which can be found exclusively at i{heart}papers.

 

I just love the end result of this card....makes me smile! I started by stamping the large numbers from I've Got Your Number onto a tag (Marvy punch) and then colored them in with a Copic marker. I stamped 'Happy Birthday', from What A Card!,  above and added Berry Sorbet ribbon from Papertrey Ink to the top along with a button. The polka dot paper is from Jillibean Soup...such a fun, fun paper pack to have on hand and create with.

 

I added a strip of Berry Sorbet cardstock along the middle and a strip of Aqua Mist cardstock that I covered with glitter. To finish it I attached my tag with dimensional adhesive and added a row of rhinestones!

Get Sketchy - #65

 I'm a tad bit late posting this weeks Get Sketchy challenge...sorry about that! I've been busy packing and getting everything ready for a trip to DC. It's been awhile since we've taken a road trip and I had forgotten how much work it is to prepare. Looking forward to getting away for a few days and seeing some dear friends of ours and spending the holiday with them!

Onto this weeks challenge...for this week we were asked to find something around our home and create a card using that for our inspiration! This vase of flowers you see below is one of my favorite pieces in our house. One because I just love flowers and two because my sweet Mom bought me this vase for my birthday last year!  

 

And here is my card using my vase as inspiration....

 

I can't even begin to tell you how many pics I took of this card. I just could not get a good, crisp picture of it. ARGH!!! I used Autumn Abundance from Papertrey Ink and used Copics to color the vase and flowers in. On the bottom of the card I stamped my background from Background Basics: Retro.

Mint Motif - You Are One of a Kind

Good Thursday morning to you all! I thought I would hop on this morning and share another card using the two new sets from Mint Motif.....What A Card! and I've Got Your Number. I have been having such a blast stamping with these new sets. I'm sure you can't wait to get them in your hands and ink them up yourselves!!  :)

For today I combined the two sets to create this one card....You Are One Of A Kind!!

 

It was so super easy to create this playing card. I simply cut a piece of white cardstock to the size I wanted and then trimmed each corner with my corner rounder punch and stamped my numbers (from I've Got Your Number) and diamond (from What A Card!). It can't get much easier than that! The polka dotted patterned paper is from Jillibean Soup...you can find it right at i{heart}papers.

Get Sketchy - #64

 
 

Happy Monday everyone! I have a Get Sketchy challenge card for you today.

 Here is my take on it....

 

Clean and simple for this week. Most everything you see is from Papertrey Ink. Stamp sets are Background Basics: Text Style and 2009 Autumn Tags. I used my Marvy tag punch and stamped the wreath and then I colored it in with Copics. The apple was stamped separately and then trimmed out and attached with dimensional adhesive.

Mint Motif Release Day

Welcome everyone! Today is release day for the latest Mint Motif  stamps, What A Card and I've Got Your Number and I have another little peek for you using one of the sets! You can purchase both sets starting today from i{heart}papers.

 

 

So for today I have a card to share using What A Card! Such a fun set and a perfect one for masculine cards as well as a feminine cards, which is what I created today. 

 

Included in the set is a long background strip of poker chips. I love poker but I am so, so bad at keeping a straight face while playing. If I have a good hand there is no doubt you'll know it by either the squeal I give out or the huge smile on my face....bad for me but definitely good for my opponents! :)

 
After stamping my background I stamped my greeting 'Good Luck' onto a piece of white cardstock. Next, I stamped two clubs, included in the set, onto a separate piece  of cardstock and carefully trimmed them out and attached them to my card using dimensional adhesive. I added a doily (the one used on this card is by Wilton and can be found in any craft store in the baking section), ribbon, a  button and a couple of rhinestones to finish it off.

Mint Motif Sneak Peek

Today I have the pleasure of introducing two new Mint Motif  stamps sets ....I've Got Your Number and What a Card! Both sets will be available exclusively through i{heart}papers on November 14th and both are jam packed full of stamping goodness.

  
They are both loaded with endless stamping possibilities and are perfect for both feminine and masculine cards. For my project today I chose to go very girly and create a card with a matching tag that could be used on a gift bag or box. The 'Happy Birthday' sentiment on the card is from What A Card! Wait til you see the rest of the sentiments in the set....you won't be disappointed, I promise!  
And the sentiment on the tag 'look who's turning' is from I've Got Your Number. And what about those LARGE numbers! I'm in LOVE with these....oh the possibilities!

Get Sketchy - #63

I hope you are all doing well and enjoyed your weekend. I went away over the weekend and spent it with my mom and great-aunt. My great-aunt is almost 80 and heads to Florida at this time every year so we went to spend some time with her before she leaves. We ran to a few craft fairs, watched a few girly movies, ate junk food and had a really nice dinner at her daughters house. And we laughed A LOT! My favorite part of the whole weekend was just sitting back and listening to my mom and great-aunt talk about my grandparents. (we are French so they were Meme' & Pepe' to me) My mom's mother, Meme', was my great-aunts sister. Both my grandparents died when I was very young....I was 6 when my Pepe' passed and 10 when my Meme' passed. But I do have memories of them both and am so thankful for that. I always love to hear stories about them and how they lived and what they were like but it makes me miss them so much more!

I'm a few days late with my Get Sketchy challenge but I have it to share today.

Most everything on this card is from Papertrey Ink. For this sketch I started by trimming a piece of Hawaiian Shores cardstock and stamping my background from Polka Dot Basics. I then trimmed two pieces of Vintage Cream cardstock and stamped my background using Background Basics: Text Style in Dark Chocolate ink.  To make it look like notebook paper I punched holes along the top using one of my EK Success circle punches and then using my scissors just cut straight from the top to the hole. Then I just roughed them up a bit and inked around the edges using Chai Tea dye.

 

I used Tea for Two and the matching dies for the front of my card. I finished it with some wrinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique , a few rhinestones and two small roses.

It's a rainy, rainy day here today! It rained all night with heavy downfall and heavy winds. 30,000 Mainers are without power right now...praying they get it back soon!
