TGIF! How is everyone doing today? I hope you have all enjoyed your week. I am so glad that Friday has finally arrived. It seems like it's been a busy week this week with lots of running and no time for stamping. We're having a costume party next weekend and it seems like most of my running around has been for that. It's been years since I've worn a costume.....like 25 years and have had no idea what we're going to be. The kids are done, R finally has his but I haven't gotten mine yet. I think I've narrowed it down though and will get it today. :)
Here is this weeks Get Sketchy challenge...
And here is my take on it...
I started with my polka dot patterned paper and covered 3 sides with orange glitter from Doodlebug. That was then adhered over my card base. I attached a lace doily (I found these at my local craft store) and the sentiment from Asian Fusion.
The large butterfly was created with Papertrey Ink's Harvest Gold felt and butterfly die. The smaller butterfly was punched out with my Martha Stewart butterfly punch. The tiny rose is from Prima.
That wraps up another Get Sketchy challenge. I'm off to start my costume hunt! Wish me luck and have a wonderful day!
Supplies:
Cardstock: Lemon Tart (Papertrey Ink); Patterned Paper: 2008 Bitty Dot Basics (Papertrey Ink); Stamps: Asian Fusion - sentiment (Papertrey Ink); Ink: Terracota Tile (Papertrey Ink); Accents: Harvest Gold Felt, Terracota Tile ribbon, rhinestones (Papertrey Ink), mini rose (Prima) glitter (Doodlebug), doily; Tools: Martha Stewart butterly punch

This is a very appealing card - I really love the border of glitter against the soft curves and sweetness of the doily. Nice work!

This card is so sweet. I am always looking to see how card makers are incorporating doilys into their cards.
I have to tell you, I have been debating on whether or not to make Halloween tags onto some treat bags I am taking to my staff on Monday. I had decided not to
since I had just finished last weekend making 14 Halloween cards for friends and family and several treat bags for my friends kids. BUT, I clicked onto your Etsy store and saw those cute, cute Halloween tags, had everything to make them, so it is now after 10pm and guess what I am doing!I had forgot how cute PTI's Spooky Sweets set is, it is really timeless. Oh, and I had to buy those cute flower tags tonight. You are so talented.
