Gratitude is the fairest blossom which springs from the soul. ~Henry Ward Beecher
Here we are *finally* on day 5! I'm so, so excited for tonight and to see all the sets in full! I want to thank each and every one of you once again for all your comments, e-mails and support during countdown week. And not only during each countdown but also for the time in between when you take the time to stop by and visit and say hi! I can't begin to tell you how much each one of you mean to me!
Before we get started here is some FYI about Background Basics: Geometrics:
- 3 background images
- $15
- released and ready for purchase tonight at 12:00AM EST on the Papertrey Ink website
For this weeks last peek I decided to work with a little fabric. I'm a little (A LOT) addicted to the stuff lately and have a ton of things on my sewing to do list I'd like to make but for today I'm keeping it very simple.
During a shopping trip last week I picked up some basic cream fabric. Using the circle/square background image I covered a square of the fabric in Hibiscus Burst ink. I wanted 3 circles in 3 different sizes so I ran that through my Cuttlebug using my circle Nestabilities.
I ran it through twice. You may have to run it through more or less depending on the thickness of the fabric.
Spring Moss buttons were sewn to the centers and as I was sewing I did a little gathering as I ran the needle through each button hole.
For the card I stamped the left side of my Vintage Cream cardstock in Spring Moss ink using the grid background. The stems, leaves and sentiment are from Green Thumb. I machine stitched around the border and added ribbon, a bow and tied some fabric I had left over! I wanted to create a little something else and had a few Lindor Truffles left over from Mother's Day...oh my gosh, are these good!!! I stamped two more blocks of fabric and then rolled the chocolates and tied them off with a bit of Spring Moss ribbon. And I have a confession....these chocolates did NOT stay wrapped in the fabric. Somehow they became unwrapped and ended up in my belly!! I now need to buy more and re-wrap them!
That about does it for the Background Basics: Geometrics countdown!! I hope you've enjoyed all the peeks and I hope to see you all in the forum tonight for the release party!
Nichole, Heather, Lisa, Alli, Beth and Dawn all have their last peeks as well! You won't want to miss it!
Have a wonderful day!

I didn't realize you could stamp on fabric with PTI inks. Love those flowers. Great new set. Thanks!
