Women of Life {Project 9}
I'm sorry for the late post this morning ladies! I've been busy, busy! Are you all EXCITED for the 15th? Have you seen Nichole's blog this morning? Kelsey Forester was the Papertrey Apprentice winner and helped to create a FABULOUS inspirational set. I love it and will definitely be adding it to my cart on the 15th!! Beautiful job Kelsey & Nichole!!
Now onto my next project! The color combo I used this time around was Creamy Caramel and Bordering Blue....no rose or green! Imagine that! lol
I started with a basic 4.25 X 5.5" card. I cut a piece of Stampers Select white cardstock to 4 X 4". I then cut a piece of Creamy Caramel to 3.75" X 3.75" and stamped the middle sized flower from 'Women of Life' in New Canvas Palette ink. I trimmed each corner using my ticket corner punch from SU! and then adhered it to my white cardstock. I attached a brad to each corner. I then cut a 2.5 X 1" strip of Stampers Select again and stamped my greeting and recipient in
Bordering Blue. I matted that onto a strip of Bordering Blue cardstock and adhered it to the front of my card. I stamped one large and one medium flower in Bordering Blue and cut them out. I layered them over one another and then used a flower from Bazzill under those and adhered them to the front. I added a brown button from Foofala for my final touch!
Thanks so much for visiting!! See you back tomorrow.

Beautiful card Melissa. It's always interesting to see what the stamp designers do with their own images. You must have had these ideas in your head before you created your designs for the stamps. I love this set and will use it a lot, I'm sure.

I love how the flowers look layered over the Bazzill flower...at first glance I thought you had done some sort of fancy folding/curling technique. Beautiful card!

What a beautiful set! I'm looking forward to receiving mine. Would you consider adding the text word "niece" to the next set you publish?
Thanks,
