Women of Life {Project 4}
Are you all ready for another project? I am SO loving this set the more and more I use it. It seems like the minute I finish one card I have another great idea for the next. I'm just so excited about the whole thing! And I hope you all will be too!
For todays project I wanted to highlight one of the BEST things about this set. The flower centers!! Usually when you think of a floral set you think of making the flower itself stand out but we can't forget about the centers. I'm always thinking of new ways to bring those to life as well. You'll see what I mean as we get towards the end!
Here we go...
1. You will need a piece of 4 X 2" cardstock. Stamp your greeting and flower... centering it as best you can.
2. For the center of the large flower I used a Page Pebble by Making Memories. They both measure 3/4" so it's a perfect fit. They are self-adhesive so I just attached it to a piece of mellow moss cardstock and trimmed around it. You could also stamp the center of your flower and then attach the pebble directly over it. The choice is yours.
And this is what the result will be after attaching your pebble! Fun, aren't they!?
3. Next you'll need to mat your stamped image onto another piece of cardstock measuring 4 X 2.25".
4. I trimmed a piece of white cardstock to 3.5 X 8.25" and my patterned paper to 3.25 X 8". I matted those together and then used dimensional adhesive and adhered it to the front of my mellow moss card. The card itself measures 4 X 9". Then place your stamped image across the front.
5. I stamped two additional smaller flowers onto white cardstock and punched two mellow moss circles out using my 1/2" punch. I adhered those and then applied Crystal Effects over those to give them that same glossy dimensional look that the larger flower has.
This is the final result! I adhered the two smaller flowers using dimensional adhesive and added a couple of swirls to the top of the larger flower. I added a length of sheer ribbon around the little votive candle holder and then created another large flower like the one on the card and attached it to the front!
And there you have it! There is just one of the ways you can embellish that flower center!
Thanks so much for visiting! I hope to see you back tomorrow!
