Women of Life {Project 3}
Boy, by the time the 15th comes around you all will have seen quite a few projects using this new stamp set 'Women of Life'. Some of you have e-mailed and asked when it will be available and and where. You will be able to purchase it at Papertrey Ink beginning the 15th of this month. Only 10 more days to go!!
For todays project I thought we'd mix things up a bit and create a little patterned paper. This is so easy to do and so much fun.....your color options are endless and so are the patterns you could create....from big and bold to soft and dainty!
I chose to start with a 3.5 X 3.5" piece of Brocade Blue cardstock. I stamped the large flower with New Canvas Palette ink until my cardstock was covered. (I have no method when it comes to stamping patterned paper. I really just eyeball it and it usually turns out just right.) After stamping the flowers I stamped each center using one of the flower centers included in this set. I pulled out my white Souffle ink pen and dotted around each flower, the centers and those tiny dots in each petal (I LOVE those....you could embellish those will just about anything). After finishing that I used a Nestabilities Square Die to emboss it.
I used a Nestabilities Square Die again to create an embossed square for my greeting. I used my SU! slit punch to create a place for my ribbon to go through. I stamped my greeting (which are both included in this set) and then assembled my card.
Thank you ALL for visiting!! I'll be posting another glittery, sparkly project tomorrow!! Be sure to stop by!

Ooooh, I like the blue. And I'm happy to see there is a friend sentiment included, since I don't have many women relatives other than my daughters amymore.
P.S. How about "Men Of Life" too?

Your cards are sooo clean, beautiful, crisp and do-able. I love knowing I can do that. It's like reading a taste of home recipe vs. a bon apetite recipe. I can do a toh recipe and it is warm and comforting. That's how your cards make me feel. Thanks.
